   Good walks around the park, nice views to much of Hawkes Bay from the tracks. Could do with a few more water stops around on the red track though.

   Public carpark at the entrance to Te Mata Park with public toilets, drinking fountains and information signs. There are a number of walking and mountain biking tracks that start from here and there are nice picnic benches to have your lunch and enjoy the view. Continue up the road to reach Peak House restaurant and the summit of Te Mata Peak which both have their own carparks.

   I did a walk for 1 hour (2,7 km, no pressure) towards the woods and it was amazing. It was rainy, but I didn't get that wet because of the trees. You can park your car at a parking space, you also got toilets and an opportunity to clean your boots

   Officially opened in July 2018 a fantastic spot to stop for the views and amenities. Perfect place on a sunny clear day, pack a lunch and enjoy the many walks.

   Awesome walks around Te Mata peak. Would recommend the redwood walk, peaceful Grove for a picnic or even meditation if that's what you are into!
