   Took in a pair of boots in August as the upper was coming away from the sole, he said he’d redo the soles and stitch and glue them, turns out they were just glued and after wearing them about 5 times they’re already coming away again, took them back in today and he said he couldn’t stitch them ( why say it in the first place ) and said they’d need to be reglued, I said if that’s the case I’ll just do them myself, (I’m not going to pay $50 every few wears) he was super snarky and said good luck with that. This place used to be the best but not anymore.

   Just a few small jobs, added extra holes with eyelets to running shoes, gluing a sole down on a pair of leather shoes and punching extra holes on a pair of sandals. 3 pairs of shoes made wearable again. Really good service, tidy work, and inexpensive, priceless if you get to wear your old favs again. Very happy customer I recommend the village cobbler, friendly guy and his lovely dog.

   Repaired my all leather shoes, new sole tacked on not stiched, the leather split well before the sole was worn, not quality leather. Told me no stiching avaliable in the Bay, but there is in Napier.

   Amazing friendly service! We were down from Taupo for the day and he was happy to repair the shoe quickly for us to be back on the road. Will definitely be couriering any shoes needing repairs in the future to the Village Cobbler.
