We love the chicken if you're going past here always stop for chicken to me it's nicer than KFC and they have fry bread most days it's the only place I know that sells it

Wife Whiuwhiu and I stopped for breakfast after a deergate purchase in Hairini. Wonderfully cookef fish and chips along with chicken nuggets. They also had fried bread which we declined. But yes nice stop over and well visited. Most of us travelling that road is to avoid tolls and chance to visit Te Puke.
