   Service without a smile. Don't expect to order a toasted sammie off the menu, only what's in cabinet available. Why have a menu if you can't order off it. Staff rude we found them blunt. Coffee cups tiny but made with standard size so very over powering. Milkshake just milk and flavoring no ice cream. Dissatisfied experience. But I will compliment the chef, food was perfectly yummo. Wish the last owner was still here as the new ownership definitely do not have anyone front of house wanting to work here, it looked all too painful for them. Hire someone that wants to work.

   The Cafe is the worst ever. Stuffed up mine and four other people's orders while I was standing waiting to get my order put right. Ordered some chips and sauce $13!!! They were horrible. Lost our order had to go back and ask where it was. They served all the people who arrived after us their cooked food but even asking where ours was it still took 10 min. Then they were the worst chips I have ever bought. Oil needed changing I think. So I am not impressed considering the outrageous prices they charge. NOT HAPPY

   We were a bit cross when our flight info said we had to be at the airport by 4.30am, but, when we got there, on time, we found we had to wait because the airport doesn't open until 4.45am. Then, once checked in, we thought we'd have some breakfast, only to find it doesn't open until 5.30am. There was a decent amount of people wanting food, so maybe a more synchronised timetable would be beneficial. And why is parking so expensive? It's not like you can park anywhere else!

   beautiful little airport! smooth runway, the main building was recently redone and looks great. Has good food and has multi story seating looking out onto the runway, one of my favorite airports in newzealand definitely would recommend going even just to look at it.

   Not the most thoughtfully laid out building. When you sit in the fragmented departure area ( can't call it a lounge really), it's difficult to see the departure board! The best thing about HB Airport are the helpful staff like Mary .... fabulous!

   Parking designed by Halfwits. Poor Sarah having to deal with irate public like me. unnecessarily dealing with incompetence of muppets delivering the most basic of infrastructure. Dropping off customers and business associates should be painless and simple. Fire your parking provider. It’s insulting enough we’re getting fleeced by govt and air nz with out having to deal the most of things which should be simple. Put Sarah in charge of the whole airport I bet if this lady was running the show things would be a hell of a lot smoother. Stuck again behind a tail back. Two exits pronto

   After renovations it’s one of the nicest and most functional regional airports in the country. Plenty of room , everything you need before the flight or upon arrival and all very close together without the need to walk for miles. Checkin area has multiple self service kiosks, there is a nice cafe with good coffee and selection of snacks, lounge upstairs and most importantly it really doesn’t feel that stressful as at some other big airports. Well done !

   Superb bike infrastructure. A scenic boardwalk entranceway leading to (with a small gap yet to be built) an undercover bike garage. Complete with security cameras, tools and plugs for e bike charging. I biked in from Clive and easily transitioned onto the flight with a backpack in a pannier bag. Would recommend this to others, free parking and a mental and physical boost to start the day.
