Great, great experience, all around. Ben is great, booking and communication is great. Easy to find, easy to get hold of. The lesson was worth every penny - Ben works with you on your level and will find a technique best suited to you. He is keen to see you enjoy the lesson. Very happy.
I would recommend anyone on vacation in Tauranga to go to the Mount Maunganui Surf School. I had an amazing morning with Andy. He is such a nice guy and knows so much about surfing. He explained to me how the dangerous waves are created and how to recognize them. You could tell that he is an expert. With his help I could stand up in my fist lessen, which is amazing. All in all it was a great experience and I would do it anytime again. Thank you very much

My wife and I did the beginner group surf lesson and had a great time - Victor was a great teacher and had us up and riding waves in no time. Owner Andy was very friendly and honest, and has very reasonable prices for lessons and rentals. We had such a good time we returned the next day to rent boards and wetsuits to do a bit of surfing on our own. Would definitely recommend!
Was initially going to sign up for a lesson from another surf school on the beach, but it was a busy day and everyone was fully booked. The owner of mount surf academy was really nice and phoned one of his instructors who was off for the day to see if she could give us a lesson as we were only in town for the day. We got a lesson at a reasonable price, and had a really cool instructor named Charlie. She taught us a lot and made sure we had tons of time to actually be in the water on our own. Could not recommend this company more, thanks again and if we’re ever at the mount again we will be back to hire some boards!
