We were here about a month ago and I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough! The wine was phenomenal and Jess' customer service was totally outstanding, she made our day. It's 100% worth making the effort to visit and have a tasting.
Myself and a friend spent an absolutely wonderful afternoon at Decibel where Favola(I do hope I’ve spelt that right!) took us through a delicious tasting. Favola had great passion and expertise for the wines and she was a great host. We throughly enjoyed our time and even got to meet Danny (the Wine Maker). If you’re in Hastings stop by!
Always a great time at Decibel. Love Dan’s passion and innovation. After reading about Pe’tillant Naturel I was excited to try one. And who should be making this type of wine? Daniel Brennan! I enjoyed the ‘Pet Nat’ Blanc de Blanc I had to come back for more bottles. Decibel has that pop in while you in the neighbourhood home feel for me. Thanks for settling here in HB on the best corner of Hastings Dan.
People passionate about wine and food. Dan and team welcomed me into tasting wines I hadn't expected. The wines were great, the wines are accessible and affordable .... but even more inspiring are the human stories behind the wine and people. At a time when our economic model lacks integrity we need more businesses like this. They give value to the human, social and environment ...and give hope
If you are looking for a local Hawkes Bay wine experience with interesting diversity, organic and different ways of making wine, you are in the right place. Apart from the fact that the customer service is warm and with deep knowledge of the oenological work of the production of these wines in the region, I think it is one of the best places in Hastings for a plan with friends and enjoy wine tasting or buy a bottle and enjoy it at home.
Had a brilliant wine tasting experience. Cool surrounds, a fantastic range of great wine, amazing hospitality and I could easily go on with more superlatives. Can thoroughly recommend a visit with the same to be said for their wines. Bravo!
Decibel was incredible. My wife and I are from Seattle and had planned a day trip to Hastings to taste wine during our most recent trip to NZ. We had a phenomenal wine tasting, guided by Dan the wine make. Of all the wines we tasted in the region, we both agreed that the wine we tasted at Decibel was some of the best we had in all of NZ. Highly recommend.
Decibel is a gem of a place on the corner of Hastings’ coolest block. Welcoming staff and the comfortable unpretentious setting let you try some of the finest local wines in style. Fun pop up events and quality company make this a must visit location for tourists and locals alike. You can taste the care and attention poured into the expert crafting of each boutique wine. A Hastings staple.
Our bridal party had a fantastic time at our Decibel wine tasting. Super friendly and welcoming, interesting information, and great wine. Would highly recommend for a hen's do stop in. Thank you!
