   I would give Mad Butcher Hastings a zero rating if it were an option when you go in two day before Christmas to buy a topside roast and get told no we are not cutting up anymore today not even an offer of one ready to pick up tomorrow so big thumbs down and I will take my business to another butcher as no decent service on offer here.

   Massive shout out to pretty sure it was the owner gave him a ring about some steak as Hastings store didn’t have any and he held it for us until we got there! Beautiful long piece of steak! Dinner was bomb tonight and there was no shitty pieces on it we will just make the trip to you guys from now on

   I went in to pick up my click and collect order a day ago and was served by a young Maori boy (from the butchery). He had beautiful manners and respect. My order was unfortunately not ready due to technical issues (which was fine, sometimes things don’t always go to plan) and I had to return later that day to pick it up. When I went back I was served by the same Maori boy and he remembered what my name was and went and got my order. He apologised for the stuff up but again just beautiful manners and respect. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with and he definitely deserves some praise for his customer service. I really hope his boss sees this review! Super impressed!

   As usual a good selection of meats at good prices. A must to keep the cost of meat in hand. They also offer a good range of everyday food items at good prices. Friendly staff who help when needed. 7/06/23 Great service today, the team went out of their way to help. As always they look after their customers. Well done to the team

   I think when they advertise meat specials with the sign outside and they sell out early they need to remove the sign because it's drawing people off the street into their shop under false pretenses false advertising which is illegal

   Being a foreigner from another country i was at a few places, to look for a certain type of cut, and couldn't get it anywhere, until I got to hastings mad butcher, where i was served with a friendly staff member and a awesome butcher, who told me yes we can do it for you, no problem, would certainly be back to experience this friendly service and their great products. Good job keep it up guys.
