When will you hire compassionate reception staff in the Waimoana suite? Reasonable patience and empathy should be a minimum requirement when working at a health service provider.
I have been 7 minutes late for my appointment today and was told that I have missed my slot, my question to this is, if the next person went in my place why I am not able to wait the next 8 minutes as the appointments has been scheduled in 15-minute intervals. We would have swapped us around, but both patients could see the doctor, I have been told they can only help at 2.30pm this afternoon. but the place was completely empty. Maybe this level of service explained why they can't keep even the lab open. Why are we expected to sit and wait to be seen sometimes 20minutes later than our scheduled appointment, but they can cancel my appointment after 7 minutes.
A big thank you to Lara and Hannah for you needle work and knife skills last week re my visit. Along with the doctor.. His name escapes me, sorry. Fast and very efficient. Muchly appreciated thank you. Hastings is very lucky to have such a wonderful facility.
Visiting from out of town. Sick 5 year old, came into Hastings Urgent Care twice in 3 days. Helpful reception staff. Was seen quickly both visits. GP Andie and nurses were lovely and caring, explaining everything. Thank you.
This place was awesome. Great service. Fast and efficient. And I got the best looking stitches in NZ and the USA. So the lovely doctor told me.
Feels like it's about the money here. I thought no matter where you go children are free. I have been trying to get my daught into her normal GP unsuccessfully so I had to bring her here and was charged $45 if I wanted her to be seen then wait over 2hours to see someone.. Last resort before hospital and I know the hospital is packed. It's not packed here though. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Don’t go here. I arrived early evening with a time-sensitive condition that required urgent care, and was told that they wouldn’t see me because I wasn’t enrolled at a practice locally (despite the fact that I *live* locally). The staff were rude and disinterested, and didn’t even tell me where else I could go until I asked. The waiting room wasn’t even busy. I’m appalled that a practice would turn someone away with so little empathy. I will be making a formal complaint.
Called twice, phone was answered promptly on both occasions. Listened to what I required and assisted with what I need before I book an X-Ray appointment. Went to the site during break time, got in time for the scheduled appointment, did not have to wait too long. So, was able to get back to work with minimal break consumption. The X-Ray personnel, shout out to him, had a great personable attitude on how he chatted with me. While on my stay, I saw and felt the Reception ladies are calm and helpful. They have PayWave without surcharge, which made it easy for me as I left my card and had to use my phone. I recommend this place for X-Ray and not the one in Russell Street, that place is bonkers and always makes excuses.
Unbelievable, my partner just sat in the waiting room for 5 hours for no one to see her! She came in with chest pains which is something that should be seen to right away and she got told that others were more important than her chest pains like getting their legs checked out which is already in a cast! She watched the room get cleared 3 times. Just a joke of a medical system
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HASTINGS HEALTH CARE CENTRES! This includes HAVELOCK NORTH HEALTH CENTRE where i first attended, had repeateded terrible visits and eventually i refused to go back there. I ended up seeing Gweda Ward at Hastings Health Centre who was amazing. However after the one visit, which was intensive and thorough the follow up was passed on to junior doctors after reassurance this wouldn't happen. Got juggled from one doctor to another , doctors constantly leaving , my health booking system is RUBBISH, has been nearly 10 months trying to get results from the speacilist appontments, follow up appointments and trying to make general appointments. The MYHEALTH app they provide is DREADFUL and gets you nowhere trying to do anything. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this health centre to anyone!
