The phone triage system at Te Mata Peak Practice is wonderfulβ€”it took the stress out of getting a same-day appointment for my sick child, which was crucial as the issue was serious. I must specifically commend Dale, the Advanced Care Paramedic. He provided us with the most professional, thorough, and caring service. He is a huge asset to the practice and deserves major recognition (and a pay raise!) for his outstanding work. Thank you!

Had to call in really late in the afternoon for medication after delayed reaction to a hospital procedure. Thank you, Jo, for your warm understanding and kind approach. I have only ever experienced supportive and thorough care from everyone who has interacted with me.

I lived in hastings for couple years and these guys took very good care of me and my partner. I once had severe diarrhoea and the nurse gave me 2 litre of IV saline, probably saved my life. Sad to see so many negative reviews, but my experience with these guys have been great. Just want to say thanks to the team.

Since the change in directors of the clinic and service has significantly declined. The new appointment triage system is a waste of time. My mother has been in agony with a gum infection, getting any appointment anywhere (eg dentist) is so difficult, rather than listening to the patient and hearing their concerns they told my mother if her pain is so bad to go to the ER. Unfortunately we don’t have enough time to sit around to be referred onto someone else to look after our health concerns as my parents are self employed and have a business to run. On top of all that if the patient has more than one thing to discuss they need to re book for another appointment. How ridiculous. Seems like the top priority is money and not the care of the patient. Highly do not recommend.

I have been a patient of Te Mata Practice for 14 years and have no complaints about the care and procedures of the doctors and nurses. They are all wonderful. However, today, when I had a severe health crisis and needed medicine, which they had forgotten to give me even though the prescription had been requested over the phone on two occasions, once again I have had the bad luck to be attended to by a young receptionist. That provides terrible service and poor treatment of patients. When I told her that it was an emergency and that I needed a solution, she responded by speaking over me that she was very sorry but that it was late and that maybe tomorrow they would see me. It is not the first time that I have suffered mistreatment from her. It seems terrible to me that a person with that manner and with that lack of empathy is working at the forefront of caring for the people who need to be cared for in this center. Happily, my doctor appeared and helped me and treated me very professionally and kindly because I was already in a nervous breakdown. Thank you doctor and please, I beg you, take into account that this young lady needs to learn to listen and what it means to care for patients, especially when we go to the health center in the middle of an emergency.

Profit before people. Awful experiences here over and over for entire family. Do not recommend.

Great team. Had to speak to receptionist today. Lovely and efficient. Sorted my problem quickly and doctor called me within an hour. This team amazing. Caring and kind reception on telephone and with everyone I spoke to. Well done. Even in these Covid stressful times you remain very professional.

Called to get a COVID test at 1:30pm, was told I've left it a bit late as they do testing at 2pm. This isn't mentioned on healthpoint which they are responsible for updating. Was told a nurse would call. Never received a call back. Called hours later and it was claimed they tried to call me, which they didnt. Finally got a call at the end of the day to say no time today... Which is expected when it's the end of the day. Telling me about the lack of availability when I first called rather than 4:30pm would have allowed me to go elsewhere. Giving people trying to do the right thing the run around isn't satisfying.

My Doctor is fabulous! - but my god the receptionists are just awful, I witnessed a patient on crutches struggling with her hand bag and the blonde older woman receptionist, nastily demanded that this poor lady in her senior years scan the QR code. I have been a patient there for many years and I can honestly say they only employ ghastly receptionists! so the one star is for the receptionists only not the Doctors or Nurses.
