   Very glad to have my six year old here for the past year. Damien and the whole team are great at building up mobility, body awareness, confidence, and technique in kids of all ages from what we've seen. Our 6 year old loves going and we like supporting him to have such a wonderful life skill. We also enjoy watching the older kids roll who clearly know a thing or two. Overall a great team and culture. No matter what your age or ability, check out Gracie Allegiance. Update: my youngest who is nearly 5 just started and loves it. What a great program, amazing coach, and big facility. Update 2 - three years of being here - both my boys go to competitions and do amazing. Have fun, technically learning lots, and building confidence. We're moving out the area and are going to be really bummed to leave Damian and the team here.

   Popped in for some training while I was doing contract work in Hawkes Bay and the head instructor Damian is the warmest most friendly coach I've met. He gave me a lot of one-on-one tips with some interesting techniques. If I was living in Hawkes Bay I would definitely join this gym.

   I really can't recommend this place enough. You will learn from some of the best, and get to do it in an awesome environment with great training partners. Damian is super welcoming of new students so there's no excuse if you're thinking of trying it out. It will probably be the best decision you've made in a long time.

   Gracie Allegiance is a great a bjj academy. Professor Smith is an excellent coach and his passion for the sport is contagious. The students at the academy are very welcoming of new and visiting students. I highly recommend this academy.
