   Very rude and arrogant owner .waited 4 weeks for a simple repair .Owner told me he Emailed me to let me know the job had been done Then went to get shoes for me to pay for job only to discover he had not done any work on the shoes. Said sorry that he had not done any work and asked me if l would like to wait while he did the work . I decided l had enough of his attitude and went to havelock north repair

   Recently had a pair of old leather boots, that are sentimental to me, resoled/heeled at Sole Savers shoe repairs Napier, and I couldn't be more pleased. Professional service , excellent results and in the time frame discribed. Which included courier back to my home town as I don't live in Napier.

   I wasn't given the pick-up ticket and had to go back for it so didn't know that I was being charged $25 for 2 seams on the strap of a leather bag and $10 for 1 seam on a dog lead until I read it when I got home, and was shocked. When I went to see what sort of job had been done to justify the high cost, the dog lead was missing completely and the joins on the bag strap were crooked and shoddy. I tried to negotiate for a fairer price but was brusquely told to take it or leave it, so I left it. He has never contacted me to say whether the lead was found or not. I have always taken my repairs here as I like to support small businesses and have tolerated his terse manner but I don't believe that stitching a couple of seams over a join in the bag strap justifies a charge of $25 - or $10 for 1 seam to join a chewed dog lead. It can't have taken more that 5-10 minutes as the cotton wasn't matched to the bag colour, so that's a hell of an hourly rate!
