Large trolleys with staff undertaking online shopping orders need upskilling in courtesy to customers who should be able to shop without feeling intimidated as trolleys are rammed in front of them. Also, staff on self check out need to speak politely to customers and not have an air of arrogance and self importance. It is not welcoming.
Change your hours don't tell your customers how rude at least change it on here. Not easy going out after back surgery. They close at 9pm now but apparently you get booted at ten to.
I’m angry with the customer service at this store. I arrived at 8pm after looking on google that closing was at ten pm. On arrival I found all the trolleys were chained up but luckily a customer who was just unpacked offered me her trolley. From the moment I was inside, I was constantly pressured to leave. At ten to 9pm I was told to get out as the doors were already locked. I said that open hours were up to ten pm and the answer was that was old hours. I said that’s false advertising but she didn’t care. Also, to mention that while I was at the counter, I asked for help to correct my rewards app on my phone and was treated like a leper. I was the only one there and ended up paying without rewards. I now go to New World Hastings as the service is great and there’s always someone to help. Their rewards system will just ask for my phone number if I am unable to use my card. I’m 67yrs old with disabilities. I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years but no more.
This store has always been amazing and the people have always been amazing from the time that I was just a simple customer to now a worker I would like to thank the Woolworths family for their guidance over the years. The times have been altered on the Woolworths website. Google is not run by Woolworths however can be edited after further approval from Google. Poor service. It's 6pm on a weekday and only one checkout open to serve a long line of people who like me came in after work to face a long line of ppl with full trolleys. Be good if they could call on staff off the floor to help when such a line up occurs.
Only 2 checkouts open during peak hours. Excessive queues. Employ more staff, your profits are good enough to pay good enough.
Please check your nature's fresh wholemeal long rolls. My purchase yesterday are all mouldy. The expiry tag blackened out.
BEST SERVICE EVER. I was looking for a specific type of cheese, a lovely Maori boy who worked in the cheese department helped me with help from three others. One of which were also a Maori boy who stopped filling the mince, a lovely young pretty girl who was named Jess along side another pretty girl with glasses and facial piercings. I then needed help looking for a gluten free product. All four in question then collectively went out back and in a timely manner came back with EXACTLY what I needed. I highly recommend countdown Hastings if you are wanting exquisite and speedy customer service. I have since been continuing to do my weekly shop at this store and always look out for these four people who always stop and have a chat with me every time. These lovely young people will indeed go far in life and likewise in the company.
I rarely get into Hastings, but found this shop, well worth a look, as their selection was much better than our local CD store, & saved me a lot of frustration. Of course the shop is a great deal bigger.
Just can’t get it, why lotto always closed before the closing time, it shows closed at 630, it’s only 11 past 6 now. It’s not just happened today, been so many times. So disappointed. If you can’t make the time, just put your opening hour paper in the rubbish bin.
