This place put money forst and foremost before the customer/ patient health. The Senior Mangement needs to be reviewed about making life threatening decisions leave that up to the GP
Absolutely awful practice, my poor dads after care service following a stroke was awful, made an appointment with the Dr and they then cancelled it, he then had to wait another 4 weeks as they wouldn’t put him in with another Dr, totally appalling, feel really disappointed. We did however once have to get a last minute appointment and there is actually a female Dr, that was lovely, helpful and actually listened.
I self prescribed until I really needed to see the doctor, anything to avoid Hastings clinics combative receptionists. I have transferred to the Flaxmere clinic and Im much happier. Enjoy your life
Second time in a row I've come to town from Haumoana (early because I have a large van and totara health doesn't provide parking for larger vehicles) to find that the blood test request has not been sent through to the lab. I was told it was done yesterday while I was talking to the receptionist however nothing. When I rang totara health the receptionist was quite aggressive and tells me there's nothing she can do about it. So now I'm sitting in my vehicle waiting for someone to sort it when they start at 9am. The service at Totara Health is terrible.
Worst medical clinic in Hawke's Bay. They'll get your script wrong EVERY time you call up for a new one. You'll have to call back to get it redone, then fight them to get them to not charge you for the new script. Nowhere else is taking new patients, so I'm stuck for the moment
This is the worst health care facility in the Hawke’s Bay by far called for a appointment for my step daughter waited over a hour after being told where to park. Went inside after waiting for a hour to be told appointment was booked in flaxmere with no indication from the caller very disappointed in the service will not be returning to this practice ever again. Be wise take your kids to someone that care about their health rather than sending them to ICU with rheumatic fever. Thanks for nothing tortara health hope no one else’s children experience this lack of communication service and basic human rights.
Waited over an hour and my daughter still hadn't been seen by a nurse. Other people came after us and were seen by a nurse. Walked out.. Feel let down by lack of service and communication.
By far the worst doctors i have ever been too. Constantly changing my gp and having no idea who im talking too, walking into appointments and being asked what i want from the conciltation. And barely being explained to abput diagnoais. Not all the doctors there are bad but most of them arent helpful and you walk away feeling very disheartened ESPECIALLY HAVING TO TALK TO RECEPTIONIST. Honestly if you dont have a doctors wait from another practise to take you on, its not worth it!!
Calling Totara Health is a nightmare. You will need to wait while confronted with very loud repetitive and annoying music. If you turn down the volume, you will not hear the operator. Nurses and doctors and admin staff are great. However, if you only could get through without getting stressed.
