Seems yss and society believe Everytime someone has something different there is a label to it especially if you like to keep to yourself. My friend is one of the nicest people you could ever meet and she made no progress. Also other people I know didn't make any progress She left right away after they laughed at her for achieving something she had been working towards for a very long time.
This is a good service for Youth in Dunedin
My son was with YSS for a year; and I didn't see a heck of a lot of progress in that time, to be honest. I had to constantly push for help.... and it was only through nagging that he got referrals to other services, he should have got referrals to months earlier. Unfortunately I would have to say that if you can afford to go private... do it.
