Absolutely wonderful experience with these vets. From the moment you walk in, you feel genuinely cared for- both as a pet owner and for your animal. The staff are knowledgeable, patient and take time to understand what exactly you are dealing with and explain what is wrong without rushing. The nurses and reception staff are just lovely- making stressful visits so much better lol.
Thankyou to the Team today at Vet Services Hastings. Vet Dave (filling in from Napier) said reassuring words we wanted to hear about our Himalayan Persian. We were so worried about his ongoing but periodic vomiting. Dudley was sedated, bloods done and physical examination and we heard the words every fur baby owner wants to hear. All good, change in diet and meds provided. We were overjoyed believe me, even a tear shed that nothing serious is wrong with our moggy. ThankYOU.
First time going to a vet we are new parents of a 11 week old siberian husky named wolf so we signed up with VET services to make sure we give him the best care that he needs he had his first Vaccines and Neal was amazing at what he does. The people on the front desk were amazing as well top notch customer service in that place they will always be our go too for any of wolf's needs.
The team at vet services have been kind, helpful, understanding, and above all absolutely brilliant with the treatment and care of our family cat especially with the circumstances we have had to deal with. I cannot recommend them enough, and a big thank you to Yvonne for being communicative every step of the way, she has been nothing but amazing.
I brought in my cat to be looked at after his nose was rubbed raw from what we thought was from fighting. The vet came in and took a 3 second look at my cat, didn’t take him out of the cat carrier and told me all white cats have nose cancer and I should put him down. I was in there for 30 seconds. 30. SECONDS. The vet was so cold and unfeeling from tone of voice to gaze. Only when I questioned if there was anything to do he started to give options but didn’t initially offer them. His personal opinion which he kept going on and on about was to put him down. Generally I go to a private vet in Napier, today I couldn’t get there so decided any vet was better than no vet. Boy was I wrong. Mid way through the appointment I just wanted to pick up my cat and leave. My cat deserved way better than what he was getting. I’m incredibly disappointed at the service of the vet. Front counter ladies were lovely and hospitable but the vet…completely different story. I would avoid this vet and go private. Genuinely the prices are the same and they care about your babies as if they were your own.
Highly recommend vet services!! Have gone above and beyond to help a family members dog who came to visit from Auckland! Pretty girl was in great hands and the staff were amazing from the reception staff being so welcoming to the veterinarian and vet nurses excellent care…Thank you
For 6 years been a regular customer. But 3rd time in a row they over charged us over $150. Ask for a written quote and don’t sign a paper without reading there might be some hidden cost and you’ll have to cough up extra couple of hundreds. Other vet options are available in bay. Try other vets.
A big thankyou to everyone at Vet Services Hastings. Our cat Pepper had been very sick for a few months and we did everything we could to help her through. The vets, especially Ginny, were amazing, patient and very kind. Pepper lost her battle this morning and we are thankful for the help and care she received. Great service, has always helped me with my rabbits. Many year ago, my rabbit had floppy bunny syndrome, which is often fatal. These lovely vets gave 24 hour care, and did what they could, and my rabbit made a full recovery. they are very professional with great service. Thank you
