I got my septum done here, the quickest, painless, easiest and calmest piercing I have ever gotten. The setting was calm and very reassuring. My piercing has healed fully with no complications. Definitely recommend coming here for your piercings! So professional.
I had 4 piercings by Dana here recently. She was very warm, reassuring and frequently checking in to make sure I was doing okay. She was very gentle and it was a stress free experience (bar the usual little dose of adrenaline expected with any piercing). Early days but haven’t had any issues with the piercings so far, and if I do I’ve been provided with an info sheet on how to care for my piercings and to get in contact with the store if needed. All the other people in the shop were very lovely too and I’ll be sure to pop in in the future to do some shopping. Thanks Hipsta and Dana!
I recently worked out, The process of typing a Review, for favourite shops of mine, and for a very LONG time, iv wanted to type a nice positive Review, about a gr8 shop, in Central NAPIER , and it’s called ‘HIPSTA’, it’s over from the NAPIER Police Station, so I also feel quite SAFE, when im a customer in HIPSTA shop, and the shop ALWAYS has a beautiful aroma of Incense and the customer service is Excellant, the gals behind the counter are ALL really lovely and make NEVER make me feel like im a nuisance theyr always Sohh kind and abliging, like even with laybys, theyr Very easy going with laybys and most of the clothes are beautiful and unique and colourful , altho I wish I could be young and slim AGAIN, BeCOS sadly most of the beautiful dresses, skirts etc etc would look A million times better on me personally, if I was young and slim again. Hipsta shop also sells luvly exquisite handbags, windchimes and jewellery as well plus unique we trinkets an nic nacs and incense, and Mch more. I don’t suport their wonderful we shop nearly as Mch as I should, but maybe this review might miraculously bring in MANY more customers and I also wana say, evrything is beautifully crafted and a lot is handmade and I even bought a singing bowl From HIPSTA ages ago and there’s still more more singing bowls for sale in Hipsta. As I said erlia, the customer service is Absolutely wonderful, the lovely gals treat EVRY customer with sch kindness, respect and make them feel valued, that’s what draws me to a shop, more than anything else, to be honest, because, in the past, iv experienced in certain other shops, Years ago I might add, disgusting abusive and frightening customer service, so all that made my PTSD Mch worse, so I’m truly so grateful to shops like HIPSTA in central shopping area , NAPIER, for their beautiful cheerful positive customer service, and the gals are VERY efficient with what they do. Thankyou to all the lovely gals at HIPSTA shop in NAPIER, NZ, from a once in a blue moon customer, Chloe and Thankyou also, for Always welcoming PearlyMay my Furbaby, and you NEVA complain or ask me to put her outside your shop, GodBless ya all for that. OMG!!!! I got my angel fangs repierced here because they were pierced incredibly incorrectly somewhere else, and it was absolutely amazing here! The lovely piercer took her time doing the dots, making sure it’s even and even pulling out a ruler to make sure all the measurements were correct and it was symmetrical! She used clamps and made me lay down, which made it so much easier on me! She got it done so fast, a quick sting and a few F bombs from me but the jewellery transfer was super fast! Of course I was pierced with slightly longer bars for swelling and will go back to downsize eventually, they gave paper with all my information and aftercare instructions! Same goes for my septum, I paid $113 for 3 piercings due to their special Friday 13 deal! Which was actually my 16th birthday :-) she got it done super quick and made sure I was comfortable. Super sterile, gloves and clamps and cleaning the area. Lastly she also pierced my mums Labret, and she is so so happy with it! It was soo fast and again she used clamps. The placement on all of these piercings are absolutely perfect and I could not be any happier. I wish I got the piercers name, she was blonde and had two septum rings in I think, she was lovely! I had such a great time getting these piercings
Absolutely incredible, so kind and compassionate. My daughter had her ears pierced here and they were soooo lovely, no issues, no infections, a simple saline solution for at home with great home care instructions. After her first change of earrings she couldn't get a new pair in, rang the store, they told us to come on in and their incredible staff member managed no issues. Huge relief for my daughter and I. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Very cool shop. Love the selection of incenses. Prices for gifts are reasonable. Nice selection of ethnic clothing. Would like to see more hipster clothing ie velvet type coats and pants, plaid and hats, bags. Some more crystals and stones and jewellery would be great. Otherwise colourful and fun shop. Nice staff. Still professional even when doing the service at a cheaper price! :)(on fridays) I’ve been to a different shop before and I felt rushed but here they take their time to make sure all placement is correct, and they use clamps which helps distract you from the pain and makes sure it’s straight. LOVE LOVE LOVE
I came here visiting from the USA. I was blown away by how quick, cheap, and painless the piercings were. Came back later in the day for a second one. I have 13 piercings total by far the fastest healing ones!
Friendly and helpful staff. They made our visit to get our middle child's ears pierced a pleasure. The lady doing the piercing was really good with young kids, being sympathetic and comforting, on top of doing a professional job. The store itself is for those into the hippy sort of culture, and while we didn't buy anything there was a lot of interesting things to look at. The kids certainly loved it. Will definitely be our first choice when it comes time to get our youngest girl's ears pierced. Pleasant shopping experience.
