    I took my daughter to see the "Simply The Best" concert, which was an interesting cross between symphony orchestra and classical pop songs. Several local vocalists were accompanied by the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra. Great venue.

    Well laid out and central venue. Lots of parking around the area. Lots of different food and drink also. Easy to understand layout and reasonably comfortable seats. Good lighting for the person on stage to be seen well.

    It's a beautiful building with heaps of seating but the acoustics weren't very good. I think the microphones and sound system need improvement as I could hardly hear what the speakers were saying from where I was sitting (at the top/in the Gods)

    There is one end which looks towards the Octagon. This end looks a lot more elaborate than the other end on Moray Place. Didn't really have time to admire the facade but it did look quite impressive, especially the clock tower. There also appears to be a cinema beside the entrance on the back.
