I've been with Dr Mackenzie since he took over from our previous family doctor in the 1980s. The practice and the staff are friendly and professional. Fully recommend him and this practice
Went to get a maritime medical. Took my own paperwork issued by maritime nz and Dr Alan Walker dismissed it and used his own paperwork which was a more involved medical. This cost $295 and was done for his own financial gain. Do not recommend
Great Friendly service and brilliant Doctors and Nurses. But , the consultation fees is not cost effective and not cheap for a single Adult visit especially if you are going to their practice on regular basis.

What a joke. Went in to see a "specialist" after 6 months of lower back pain and Dr Alan Walker pretty much tells me "50% of adults have back pain at some point" and to have panadol to hide the pain, How is that treating the problem ? Thats not treating the problem, thats sweeping it under the carpet and trying to run from your problems. Im only 28 and there is clearly something that needs to be fixed !! This is the system failing me. I do not recommend this guy.
I have been going to Pitt st medical center for years now and my doctor is brilliant but I am at the point were I am almost unable to call up or try and avoid a particular receptionist who is dismissive and rude, makes me feel wrong for calling, (that is the best way I can think of putting it) My pharmacist also goes to Pitt st medical center and dreads getting stuck on the phone to this woman also, its been years. I love my doctor but reception, please get a vastly improved phone manner you are dealing with sick people under stress and this is the last thing they need, This is the FIRST time in my life I have written a letter of complaint
