This is the one place who listened. I went to doctor after doctor. My GP listened and said "Nah this girl knows her stuff" and got me the exact treatment I needed, she noted everything I said and got me help, and the receptionists are absolutely lovely too. I think Meridien Medical is the best place in Dunedin! Georgie

I tried multiple doctors at other practices before giving up on going entirely for much of my mid 20s to early 30s because I felt like I never received much help at all. This changed when I tried Meridian Medical Centre. My GP is very present and engaged(shout out Gareth) listens to all of my issues and comes up with proactive solutions without any blame, shame or judgement and draws on his own lived experiences during appointments which makes talking about any issues a lot more comfortable and you feel like you’re being listened to. I have spoken to multiple nurses all of whom have been supportive, friendly and helpful. The waiting room is spacious and comfortable and I have experienced no long wait times in the year I have been with them. The practice is also very conveniently located in the centre of town. The reception staff are lovely and welcoming (shout out Julia especially) and are always friendly, approachable and helpful. A few times I’ve forgotten about outstanding amounts owed for prescriptions etc and they always remind me in a friendly relaxed manner. Great practice all around which I highly recommend.
Had a really good experience . Everyone was super helpful, from the receptionists to the nurses. A big thanks to my GP, Dr. Gareth Keat—I really felt heard and cared for. The whole team made everything easy and stress-free. Definitely appreciate the great service!
Chose this practice because of the convenient location. I think every interaction I’ve had with them I’ve had issues. I’ve had to contact them countless times in multiple occasions just to get repeat prescriptions. Personally I have felt uncomfortable and unheard at the couple of doctors appointments I’ve to. I understand that they need to see lots of people but I felt so rushed. I hope others have had a better experience here, the nurses and 50% of receptionist staff I’ve talked to have been really nice. Overall wouldn’t recommend going here though

My partner waited over an hour for his appointment, complained to lady at the desk after 45 minutes and she didn't care. Ended up paying $50 to be told to go somewhere else. Only seem to care about money. Told my 21 Yr old partner that only old people get arthritis just terrible. We weren't the only ones waiting for over an hour seemed like everyone had too.
Doctor canceled my appointment, they have been chasing me trying to get me to pay for the appointment that never happened. After numerous emails and phone calls that are not answered I'm putting in in here. Let see if someone will finally get back to me !!!
Always behind on schedule. Waited nearly an hour one time and family member had the same issue. Now today I booked my son's immunization in advance and got an email saying it was canceled a few hours before the appointment. Rang them to find that nurses finish at 1pm and the appointment was booked for 4.15pm. Should never have been booked. Definitely changing doctors!
