Zara from HB Rental Management was amazing to deal with. Our home was comfy, cosy and in really good location. We were able to move in earlier and when we moved out - Zara made the transition easy and stress free. She is such a lovely person.
Throughout the 7 years I was with HB rental management as a tenant there was always great communication and understanding. Being a small family business you get to build a more personal kind of relationship other than just tenant and property manager. Any issues were also dealt with promptly. Zara, thank you and the team for all that you do. I will always appreciate the time you came to visit with muffins, coffee and cuddles after having my baby that was really cool.
I rented a home that was managed under Oxygen then changed over to Zara and her team because it was sold to a new owner. When I met Zara I thought she was OK as I had a good relationship with my manager under Oxygen so didn't think it could change too much with a new person. I was a young mum at the time with a 3 year old. During the time under Oxygen it was awesome, communication great. Once coming under Hawkes Bay Rental it changed, I felt like I was treated and looked at differently because I was young etc. I was a good tenant though, paid rent on time never missed a payment, house was always clean. I'm a huge cleaner for inspection day make sure my walls, roof, everything is scrubbed only for her son to come inspect and say I never mowed the lawns, when it clearly showed the lawns were mowed. I would then start waking up to seeing the owner of the house on my side weeding, just doing whatever she pleased, her daughter lived next door so i already had that to deal with, it became almost daily if not weekly. I voiced it to Zara about how it disrupted my peace and I didn't like it, nothing was done I was told there was nothing she could do (I felt like she didn't even try either as I found out the owner and her were very good friends from.Zara herself). But when they had a problem with the way I parked in the drive way etc she didn't slow down to let me know. When I started voicing my issues, I was then sent a letter saying I had 3 months to find a new rental. I believe this happened because it wasn't expected of me to stick up for myself but probably something else too. I am now a house owner myself but will never forget this experience with the owner and management and I think people should hear my honest experience as a tenant to be honest.
Very unhelpful when we had an issue with one of there properties. Not sure what they are being paid to do.
Wouldn't consider anyone else to manage rental on our home. Wonderful.
Zara is one of the most committed and professional property manager s that I have come across. Her focus on providing that little extra in customer service is the difference that is unique about her and her team. Give her a go, you will not be disappointed
