Went for a first-time cut today, left feeling very pleased! Errol did a fantastic job and distinguished himself through close attention to detail and a genuine effort to give me a haircut that complemented my features.
A real classic and traditional barber shop. Errol have a huge experience, you can just sit and enjoy the moment ! It is also very pleasant to discuss with him. I had a great time !
if I could give 6 stars I would extremely friendly great to talk to is patient and all around a nice bloke and the price surprised me looked online most cuts were 30-35 for hair and 20-25 for beard trim my whole total came to just over 30 dollars witch was surprising given the "normal" price around dunedin if your looking for a new barber or are looking for a replacement I couldn't recommend him more thanks for the great experience
Errol is the best hairdresser I have encountered. He is great at working out what you want, even if you’re not too sure yourself. I came away with the best haircut experience I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend him enough.
Super impressed with St James Hairdressing. I phoned to ascertain whether I could secure a walk-in appointment due to being refused my booked slot at another business. Sometimes things just work out for the best. If I'd not been refused my appointment with the other place, I'd never have found this place! The premises were clean and tidy, and I thought the decor was befitting of a hairdresser/barber shop. The bloke who cut my hair (sorry didn't catch a name) was very friendly and we had a few wee yarns about this, that, and the next thing. I was very happy with my cut, and was pleasantly surprised at the price! All in all an absolutely perfect experience and I will be returning for a follow up as soon as the need arises!

Excellent haircut & beard trim in style as requested but also a good listener to an account of life's exigencies. Worth every cent & at very reasonable cost.
My boyfriend and I just stopped by to get his beard trimmed. Due to our camping trip his hair also looked very messy. Errol saw it right away and gave him an extra hair wash and cut. He is really passionate about his job. St. James Hairdressing is a great place to stop by. Highly recommend it for others. Really appreciate your generosity Errol.
I had the pleasure of getting a cut from Errol on my way home from work. I was intrigued by the shops decor and was invited to be his last cut of the day. Excellent conversation and company, was great to talk all things politics, theology and life. An absolute experience and exceptional cut.
