Liana is a cool lady. Like, inner north Melbourne-level cool. She's a also a true mensch: warm, friendly, and talented. I didn't get a bob but, if I had have, I trust that it would be laser-level straight and perfect from every angle. Will rebook until the day she flies away.

I have been going to Liana at Zen for a few years now. After returning to Dunedin from living up North, I really struggled to find a hairdresser that could do a great blonde. i’ve been going to Liana for six (!!) years and followed her when she and Haley opened Zen. the girls at Zen are absolutely amazing, Liana’s so lovely and respectful whenever i’d like a silent appointment and the vanilla lattes are literally some of the best in Dunedin. Liana’s helped to bring some of my most wild hair colours and concepts to life and she slays every time. you won’t regret going to Zen, the vibes, service and results are unmatched anywhere!!
Recently had my hair done by the lovely Ashleigh at Zen Hair and couldn’t be happier! She was extremely thorough, friendly and attentive and created such a beautiful colour for me. The salon also has such a good vibe about it and everyone in there is so lovely and makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. AMAZING!!! Highly recommend ZEN! Wish I went to ZEN sooner- Haley did such an awesome job with getting my hair to how I wanted it in one sitting, and a fantastic cut!! The team was so helpful - Liana went over and beyond and got me in at very short notice.. 100% Soo happy!
Great service, awesome staff! There’s not a lot of places in Dunedin that can do thick Polynesian hair! Liana & Ashleigh do a wonderful job with my hair. They’re realistic about what will work! My hair was blonde and damaged from previous salons who didn’t do it properly. Liana is an expert with colours so it pays to listen her advice! Place is cosy and cute. Price is reasonable too considering how great the service is. Will always return!
Absolutely fantastic. Went in not really knowing what I wanted done with my hair but they helped me with styling, cut it and had me back to tidy it up once the hair had settled a week or so later all for a very reasonable cost. 100% recommend!!!
I have been coming to Zen for several years now and wouldn’t think about going anywhere else! Liana consistently meets my expectations and my hair has never been in better condition since coming here. All the stylists are friendly and inviting, the salon itself it beautifully designed, with its very own room for you to chill out while your colour processes. I’ve recommended several of my friends come here and none have been disappointed. One of the best salons in Dunedin with prices comparable to competitors, but the results exceeding expectations!
