A few friends recommended I go see Tom at Latta Performance for my old American car. Tom knows what he's looking at and has a genuine interest in each vehicle. He is focused on getting things right; he inspects, diagnoses and explains whatever might be needed. For example I got messages with photos of potential exhaust angles, updates on the health of the engine and some ideas for tweaks. He also took the time to show me how to mess with the idle, if I need it. Spent a while talking about the usage of the car and learning helpful things. Latta Performance nailed what I was after and he's an absolute stand-up guy and he has my business from now. Can't recommend highly enough, 10/5 GC
Top notch service, Tom installed a new Edelbrock 750 carb to match my intake and correct hood fitment. Installed a LSD Center section to my factory Salisbury Dif, as well as tidying up my exhaust. A first time customer. Had come away from the Testing Station with a bodywork fail for rust in a very awkward to assess windscreen area. On the verge of quitting the nearly 35 year old L300 van, but an email and a few photos to Tom, his responses were positive and honest. Easy and obliging, kept me informed with series of photos once the screen was out. Damage and repair was going to be less complicated than I feared and others had predicted. Couple of days later, good job, neatly done, successfully passed the retest. Easy to deal with, a fairly priced and hopefully lasting repair for a vehicle showing its weathered old age. Recommend!

Tom does a great job (new rotors and pads on my wagon), he's reasonably priced and knows how to manage expectations when it comes to how long a job will take, meaning you can actually plan a day around getting the job done! He's a true enthusiast and is highly capable when it comes to modifications and repairs, so I'd strongly recommend giving him a go. I'll be back to get turbo-charged, because "power is great". Turbo shop dunedin recommended Tom to start and complete my turbo conversion. He's done a top job he's gone the extra mile and found cheap 2nd hand parts for me, done a excellent job of the conversion he's also taken alot of time out of his day to explain everything in very good detail. Very good communication I'll only ever go here from now on so glad there's a place I can now trust in dunedin. **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Really fast. Had a new Flexi welded into my exhaust as mine had blown. Dropped my car in at 8am and was ready to be picked up at 10am, really fair price and great communication ,even welded in an extra support to prevent the Flexi blowing again.
