Had a fantastic experiance. Josh was outstanding and very down to earth. Could actually laugh and joke with him. I am in my early 70s and the price was one of the cheapest for an extraction. In fact alot cheaper than I thought which helped my budget. Would highly recommend.
I have such a phobia of dentists but a few months back I was experiencing severe pain and had no choice but to go. Being new to Napier, I didn't have a dentist yet, but I was fortunate to find availability at Pearl of Ahuriri. Walking in I was incredibly nervous and scared (palms literally sweating) and Dr Martin went out of his way to make me feel safe and looked after. He injects painlessly and his workmanship and bedside manner are next to none. Today I went back for a permanent filling, and just like the first time the experience was great. It's really helped build my confidence going to the dentist. :)
Not my favourite place to go,but always looked after. Martin is very careful and gentle with his Dental work. Highly recommended.
Spoke to Felicity at reception who agreed the scan data I wanted taken would be mine to do as I wished with. Then after I book in steps Bryony the practice manager and states no, the only suppliers who will get the scan data are local businesses. That's an unethical position as far the DHB are concerned. Bryony decided to cancel service when I called into question their ethics. Top marks though to Felicity who did understand the ethics involved.
Terrible business. If I could do zero stars I would have. Went to Martin Langford 18 months ago due to oral issues, repaired the wrong tooth and ignored the repairs needed clearly visible on xray. Left with an annoying residue on tooth repaired. Will never recommend and never return. Very unprofessional “family” run business. 6 days after seeing my new dentist & hygienist all fixed all repaired all healed.
I confess historically I have been a wuss when confronted with a visit to the dentist. I had some work done by Martin a few hours ago, I can't believe how calm, painless and stress free the whole experience was. Briony reception and the dental nurse (sorry I did not retain your name) were both lovely and obviously very competent. It was a "chatty" experience guided by Martin, always professional without that "In your face" attitude that says 'look how squeaky clean and P.C./pro we are" which I think often covers what is essentially a sterile human experience. I walked out feeling so relaxed and have no hesitation in labelling this my best ever (in 72 yrs) experience with a health practitioner. Thank you team you are a bunch of gems. Bob
Today I had my first experience at Pearl of Ahuriri dentist, Martin Langford. As I am married to a retired dentist, I can say that I have never had dental phobia. I can also say that Martin is a very gentle dentist and provided me with the most gentle clean that I have ever experienced. Martin explains throughout the examination what he is observing which I find, very reassuring. If you need a good dentist, I suggest that you try Pearl of Ahuriri.
Martin is like an Artist when it comes to teeth, back in 2006 he repaired a chipped tooth for me and the quality of work was just sensational!! So when my cap came off during surgery last week, i just had to track him down!! Thanks to Facebook, i was able to do that and again had my tooth fixed with exceptional workmanship There is no other dentist in Hawkesbay that even comes close to the quality Martin does. He was so gentle, i had no need for numbing etc and he always asked if i was ok. If you are someone that isn't a fan of the Dentist then you need to see Martin Langford at Pearl Dentistry, he is #1!! Thank you to you Martin and your team! :)
Wow, my BEST dental experience ever (and being in my late 60's I've had quite a few!) While travelling thru Hawkes Bay lost a filling in my front tooth and chose Pearl of Ahuriri because they are a small family practice which is hard to find nowadays, and found Martin and his team to be nothing short of FABULOUS. Thanks folks. Highly recommend to locals and fellow travellers. AAA+++
