   I walked into the shop at afternoon today(10Nov2025), there was only a male store keeper at the counter and I was the only customer in the shop. While I was browsing the products, I kept on hearing someone say “ Go away “ for at least five times. When there were few other Caucasians walked it later, he appeared extremely nice to them. Before I almost left the shop, i confirmed that he gave me a side eye and said again “go away”. As an Asian, I felt he pin-pointed at me so I confronted him. He admitted he was the one who saying “go away” but just singing. I asked whether he own this shop, he said no. What an appalling behavior!! Such a racist storekeeper! The shop owner should seriously look into who you’re hiring!!!!!!!!!!!!

   Friendly and bubbly staff. Gorgeously curated store, it's a visual feast. I tested dozens of perfumes and enjoyed the colourful and chic art, homeware, fashion and curios. Perfect spot for Christmas gift shopping, a large unique selection and a rad vibe. Purchases were lovingly gift-boxed. 10/10 worth a visit.

   Above and beyond! I was recently in store wanting a perfume, they had stock at their Ponsonby store but not the city. They said not to worry, sent me off to enjoy the city and had it dropped to my hotel just around the corner. What an exceptional pleasure and well worth a visit to see some fabulous New Zealand designers, truly a wonderful spot!

   This is my first time writing a google review of anything ever. The customer service was absolutely horrendous. I was excited to try some of their fragrance collections but you’re not even allowed to TOUCH the bottles yourself. The lady literally said “ok i’ll allow you to smell one more which one will it be” ? It’s like they don’t even want you to purchase anything. Never going back, I’d rather buy the samples online and pay for shipping than try them in that store again.

   Terrible terrible customer service! I went there to test fragrances as they do have an special collection in nz. And I was basically got told off by the shop guy, asian&bald, to stop! He said this behavior is NOT welcomed in the store cause I smelled too much! And he implicitly ask me to leave. Why is he even in his job?

   I've known about World for many years and stopped in on a visit back to NZ. The main man Francis Hooper was there and I was struck how helpful and unpretentious he was. We had a chat and he was happy to show me around without the sales pitch. I bought some great things and enjoyed my visit. Thank you. I will be back next time I come to NZ.

   Absolutely stunning store. Highly recommend. I didn't get the guys name who was working at the time. But an absolute delight, was great hearing all the history/stories behind the candles and fragrances. Now my go-to store for fragrance and candles. Exceeded my expectations

   This is a fun store. So many amazing garments as well as different fragrances and objects of beauty. The collection of animals is remarkable. Staff was really friendly and keen to share the experience and fun in the designs. Some really lovely jackets.
