Would highly recommend people to avoid dealing with Savebarn Christchurch. Biggest run around I've had in ages. A month to receive a $1000 item that they had in stock after payment was processed. I would add photo of item but I'm still waiting. Company seems to believe that their obligations end at being paid. Would have been quicker to drive to Christchurch myself and collect it.

Worst store I have been to in Christchurch and an almost aggravating experience. Here is why: The store name, the outside store facade, the inside, the type and age of product and overall setup ALL suggest this to be a store where perhaps some bargains are to be had. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The price tags on most items are of such grotesk high price level that it almost angered me and I was about to ask whether those are the final prices or whether a further 50% discount or so would be give at the till. Fishing equipment more expensive than in even most brand stores in Christchurch. 22 dollars for a mini Styrofoam box. 120 dollars for the cheapest ocean fishing combo. Tableware and cutlery at outrageous price levels. I have not found a single item that was even remotely worth considering. Not a single item discounted or on sale, really, nothing. Even my wife's jaw dropped, we looked at each other when we exited the store and both of us looked baffled.
Who prices those items in this store? Please avoid this store at all cost or go and check if you don't believe me. It feels more like a mafia extortion racket than a store to hunt for reasonably priced items just as "Safebarn" would suggest. Angry at myself that I wasted a trip there and 30 minutes of my life. I hope to spare others the aggravation.

If I could give 0 stars I would, staff we're very rude and I stood at the counter waiting for help while 4 of them stood there talking to each other about another staff member. Staff we're not helpful at all I asked if they had something instock as the website said they did, they just replied with "nah" and kept on chatting.

Very friendly people and lots of stuff but am Abit disappointed I brought something for my husband turns out was wrong thing he wanted so I rang asked if I could return but was told could only have store credit which doesn't state that on the website. Was alot of money pretty much wasted on stuff I didn't need or want it was brought and returned someday same condition
