Sometimes the staff at Te Awamutu are quite grumpy......
Not a dig at the staff (though a smile wouldn't go astray) but their Company Policy sucks.Resene Paints,in Resene stores,can't be tweaked to customers wishes.Other shops however,with the same Resene products,can.So why is it that places like Mitre 10 can supply a superior service with a Resene product than Resene shops can??It's illogical.My suggestion?,just go to Mitre10,or another paint shop, and forget about the Resene shops. In response to Resenes reply- Take a 10l pail,measure off half, add the amount of tint required for a 5l pail,then add to paint of the same tint paint ratio and shake.How hard is this?,does this risk an increased chance of paint failure?does this mean a different colour will magically appear?.Answer NO.If the paint colour emerging from the above said process is the same colour as that of the original pail then it is of the same quality,mix ratio,durability,etc.Add a can of coke to another can of coke and you get coke,not lemonade as you are inferring. I will say it again- Other shops can successfully perform this simple mathematical mixing process with 100% sucess rate(with your product)but it seems its beyond your staffs ability and company policy.Want a simple process performed by well trained staff?,go somewhere other than a Resene Shop.

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Came in to store to ask a few questions regarding paint that I purchased from them. Products totalled $1200. I relayed the info off the tin to the staff and they told me I was wrong. After applying the paint, it failed. When I spoke to an actual professional I found Resene product wasn’t even compatible with my intended use. So they sold me the wrong stuff knowingly and wasted my time and money. Now I have to strip it and redo the whole lot. As mentioned, I queried this and their attitude was absolute poison. Couldn’t have been less helpful. Definitely don’t recommend Resene Te Awamutu.
