Superb salmon eggs bene and great coffee, and lovely atmosphere plus friendly service. One of my ‘go to’ cafes when I’m out east in Christchurch
The food was not great. I ordered the beef burger and the paddy was ridiculously dry. My wife had the lambs fry which only came with 2 pieces of lamb. My berry smoothie was tasteless and watery. Atmosphere is fine and the service was friendly.
I used to come here often and loved coming here. As we moved out of local area I haven’t been back here for a while. It certainly gives you a fresh perspective. As a customer I was not acknowledged when I moved up to order my Avocado toast with bacon on gluten free bread. I told the person taking orders I was coeliac and asked her to let kitchen know. This was confirmed when a different person brought my food out and said they left off chick peas as not gf. Coffee arrived with a little short bread. A nice touch but I couldn’t have, being coeliac. I asked waitress to take biscuit away, but she said she couldn’t. Coffee was excellent. My food was Avocado toast, but it was utterly overwhelmed by hummus and way too much balsamic vinegar. Avocado flavor was completely lost. Bacon as an extra charge of $8 was 3 small slices. Underwhelming for a $40 spend for one persons breakfast. Left with an aftertaste of vinegar.
Stumbled upon ten27 while waiting for my aunty to finish her dentist appointment, and what a lovely find. This cute café has a great selection of cabinet food. The teapots were such a nice touch (and big—definitely a bonus), and I loved the glass cups as well. We really enjoyed the scones and the savory muffin—both were fresh and delicious. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, with lots of smiles. A charming spot I’d happily return to.
A lovely Cafe and their coffee is sooo good! Staff are always very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend Ten27 for a variety of great food, fabulous coffee and atmosphere!

This place use to be the highlight of Ferrymead Brunch, but it’s sunk into the estuary. The staff are friendly but too busy to provide good service. Food has gone down hill and in all honestly only the home made hash brown was decent.
Rebecca was amazing! Excellent customer service by her, fully attentive to everyone's needs. The smashed avocado meal wasn't worth $22. The coffee was great! The fire was cranking, lovely atmosphere for a busy Mother's Day ❤️
I feel happy after having lunch here, fantastic food, my style. This is a convenient location, with parking in the back. It is quite busy many customers here, the decor and space are comfortable. They have seats outside and inside. They gave us free mineral water a plus point, Cleaned toilet more points. I will be back.
