Best restricted driving test, thank you to the amazing testing officer. The testing officer gave clear instructions calmly which made me feel confident during the test. The wait time wasn’t long at all. Thank you so much ☺️.

I booked a pre-purchase assessment over the phone with Leslie at VTNZ Te Awamutu. She helped with the booking and then referred me to their accounts team to make payment. I paid over the phone, received the receipt by email, and let the dealer know the vehicle could be dropped off — they were expecting it. But when the dealer arrived, they were told payment hadn’t been received. I followed up with Leslie, who said she hadn’t received anything. I offered to forward the receipt I’d been emailed, but she said, “No, leave it with me,” and that she’d get back to me. I never heard back. I ended up forwarding the receipt to the dealer myself, and they sorted it on their end. After the assessment was completed, the dealer told me I should receive the report by email. I waited nearly an hour, right up until closing, and still nothing. I tried calling several times. When someone finally picked up, they said to hold. I waited a couple of minutes with no response and hung up. I called again, and Leslie answered. She said Suzie had sent the report. I told her I hadn’t received anything, and she handed the phone to Suzie. Suzie didn’t sound too pleased to be on the phone. I politely asked if she could resend the report. She started spelling out my email address, but got it wrong. When I corrected her, she snapped, “You know what I mean.” I thought to myself — if you spell the email wrong, the customer’s not going to receive the report. And if I “knew what you meant,” the email still wouldn’t go through. It felt careless and rude, especially after paying $199 for the service. This unpleasant customer service really had me thinking — if this is how they treat their customers, it makes me wonder about the quality and attention to detail that went into the actual vehicle assessment. In the end, I did get the report, but the whole process was frustrating. Poor communication, no follow-up, and dismissive customer service really took away from the experience.

Another quick WOF at VTNZ Te Awamutu. Staff always seem happy enough to explain any notes on the sheet and how to remedy. Not too sure about their new conditions for entry, no mobile phone use policy, be interesting to see how they enforce this or what it results in if you are confronted. Hopefully someone from VTNZ can respond to this point for some clarity

I read what was wrong with my vehicle, over $800 worth. We had an in-depth discussion about do the guys know what they were doing and were they qualified. Until they realised it was the wrong vehicle. My vehicle passed.

Very very disappointed that after the 6th test already (5 tests at VTZN Te awamutu) and having 3 AA driving Lessons, already that the same instructor Allan and Vtzn fails my son for the 5th time. Too slow. Then too fast. Now to fast and slow. I mean really. Really disappointed and won’t recommend this testing centre to anybody. This is a money making scheme for some testing centres to collect easy dollars. We have kids wanting to do the right thing going for their learners and restricted but yet testing instructors make it much harder.

Reputed to have bad attitudes and rude customer service. I went here willing to see and felt very unwelcome, and it felt like I was a task to deal with.

Must provide facilities for visitors while waiting for the driving license test, especially in rainy time. Should not give even a single start for review

Very friendly service by the ladies in the reception and a professional and friendly mechanic doing my WoF. Thank you.
