Purchased, rump steak and lamb steaks. Both were great, but the rump steak was the best we had eaten in years. I will definitely buy more meat next time I'm in Cambridge. I live in Taupo.
A true farm to table butcher, the beef is delicious , rich and a good price. The chicken is bought in and really tastes fresh.
I am not particularly a steak person but today hubby bought some Porterhouse and cooked it on the bbq. It was the best I have ever had. Really tender and tasty. Can highly recommend.
Smells amazing when you walk in. All the beef is from their own local farm, grass fed all the way. You can get anything from beef bones and chicken frames to tomahawk steaks and full sirloins. Stocks a full range of sausages and black pudding, all pork, lamb, chicken, and beef cuts. Proper old fashioned butcher, everything made on site.
I will be buying all my meat from Wholly Cow from now on. Great quality at a very reasonable price, and friendly service. Fantastic range of products too. I highly recommend.
Out of about 5-6 company's I called this was the only one who would supply half a beast, they did so for a fair price and the meat is very nice and well packaged, they also delivered it for free which I thought was good of them.
Online ordered through the app was quick and easy, had a confirmation message a few minutes later to say it was ready for pickup, although doors are still closed due to red staff member came to the door straight away was very friendly and got my order easily. Love being able to support local business
Fantastic range of Meats, Poultry and Marinades. This is the only type of butchery, unless you head north of Hamilton. It has a beautiful selection of meats, prepared on site, by Butchers, which sadly is a dying trade due to the large corporates. This store allows for choice, and there are some beauty's. Looking for good meats... this is defs, my choice!!! Only way to know is to go... Wholly Cow!!
