Such fantastic service! I’ve had about 7 pairs of pants tailored, dresses fixed and now a button sewn back on and everytime I’ve come here it’s been so easy! Fairly priced, fast service and high quality work!
I bought a dress online that needed a quick fix in time for my sisters wedding which was only 5 days away! The top half of the dress needed to be brought down a size or two. The seem under the bust had to be unstitched, about an inch or two of fabric removed, the zipper shortened and the lining adjusted accordingly. It was a mammoth job which the team managed to pull off in just 3.5 days! The quality of the workmanship was high and the cost very reasonable. Highly recommend Sewing Express!
On Saturday morning and in a panic, I brought in an evening gown that was a ‘same day emergency’ after another tailor had left me severely disappointed and with and ill fitting dress. Despite being busy, the they still managed to fit me in and we came to an, albeit unconventional, but ‘quick’ fix that allowed me to wear the dress later that day. I really appreciated the empathy, creativity and willingness to help. Can not recommend enough.

I cannot rave about Gina enough. My wedding dress arrived from overseas in November. By wedding was in January. The dress was far too big up too & needed significant alterations. Gina was absolutely fabulous. She was friendly, professional & honest. She altered my dress & had it finished well before my wedding day. Gina always has a friendly smile and gives the impression that no task is too difficult for her. She recommissioned my fishing jacket for me and sewed a phone pocket into the inside of another jacket - all for a very reasonable cost. I would thoroughly recommend this business, and am so glad that Sewing Express is in Kaiapoi.
