   Do not use this firm for sensitive family matters. Whilst we were grieving, this firm made many mistakes, attempted to charge us for them, and made no apology, making an emotional time much harder.

   This law firm is apalling!!!! IGNORANT on the Indigenous people of Aotearoa. They DONT REPLY to phone calls or emails UNLESS there is significant monies involved which their could have been.

   If this company was keen to retain existing customers I suggest they tidy up their admin and get the job done in a timely manner. A simple paper trail for them became a nightmare for me. Two months chasing them to do a job. Stressful. Excuses. Quoted $600 + GST + disbursements. Invoiced $1,550 + GST + disbursements. OH MY GOODNESS!!! I went back to them asking them to stand by their quote. The quote was grudgingly reduced to $700 + GST + disbursements. I've reluctantly paid and can only confirm the messages below. I also won't be back.

   ....Beware of these guys( Shirley law) , they will rip you off... My partner doesn't want to put the review but I thought people should know About them.. Recently we bought a small business.. worth $17k, Shirley law is 5mins walk from our house, So my partner spoke with one of the lawyer , Verbally quoted around $1500/ little more/less since it is closed bussiness, just need to renew the lease with landlord. Once the 1st lawyer took the matter, he is on holiday, and said still he will do this job during that period, after 10th days , about to complete the process, the matter passed it to 2nd lawyer and 2nd lawyer started the process again from beginning(lack of communications between them) and here goes , when the process all most finished , they send the email sayings that the fees will be between 3k-5k.. Finally completed the matter in 3rd weeks... And send us invoiced $3680($3200+GST).. .........Never recommended.....

   Would not recommend these lawyers when buying a house. Never gave us price guide lines through whole process came back with a very high priced bill over $2500 for 3weeks work did not give us all information needed for (rates owing) did alot of work myself. Then they charge half the price more for the same work as per trademe banking adviser and friends and family complete rip off. Have message director of law firm and all she has done is ignore me.
