Nice spot, as the name suggests in the burbs of Cambridge. Service was a little slow, but was very busy on a Saturday morning. Coffee was well made and pleasant. Smashed avocado was nicely presented, and tasty, maybe a bit salty and avocado was very processed (smooth).
Omg the best chilli scrambled eggs I've ever had in my life. The added mushrooms were amazing. My friend got the eggs Benedict and it was amazing as well! ABSOLUTELY Underrated place,must stop for brekky on a road trip.
I absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere. The place is like a hidden gem.
A friend an I visited on a Monday for an early lunch and both ordered the nourish bowl with a poached egg. We both gave our meal a 5/5 for flavour and presentation (although scraping out the bowl using a fork was a challenge). At a time when eating out is a luxury it's much appreciated when served something that you certainly can't make at home. Prices seemed standard ($24 for our dishes). Service was quick and friendly. Decor is vibrant; intimate but not squashed indoor seating and outdoor seating. Highly recommend a visit and we'll be back.
Arrived early for our wkend break decided to have a coffee while waiting...the food looked fresh n morish so ordered lunch as well.. Salmon and chicken both meals delicious..thanks Sub Kitchen
We had a lovely lunch break at this place while travelling through. The food was delicious (I had a burger) and staff was super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy - I loved all the little interesting things of their design. The only slightly disappointing thing was that they decided to clean the toilet while we were eating, and we sat inside, quite close to the bathroom. It smelled like chemicals while we finished our food. Otherwise, everything was perfect, thank you!
Food was fine for the 4/5 people. We had 1 egg Benedict plate which had an over boiled egg and had left a bit of the shell inside as well. We let the chef know, not an apology, nothing from anyone. Disappointing. We pre-paid the food, so weren’t expecting anything, but to not acknowledge fault or even an apology is poor form.
We came here to try somewhere new in Cambridge and we will definitely be back! They have a great selection of cabinet and menu food. We came for morning tea, hubby with a Jaffa muffin and me with the sausage roll. Then to finish we shared the ginger kiss cake. The whole thing was delicious. The coffee was strong and hot. Just the way we love it!
Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at Suburban Café in Cambridge. I had a coconut latté and bacon & eggs on toast, both which were delicious, well presented, and good value for money. I recommend giving this café a visit if you are in Cambridge, it was a lovely vibe sitting outside even on a chilly late Autumn morning.
