Definitely won't be going back there. Took our ute in for a wof, but they failed it on small minor accounts - like the seat belt having mould stains on them... bearing in mind we had the whole vehicle upholstered before taking it in. Also told me that the headlight was unfocused and aimed incorrectly and then went on to say the adjuster is broken, which is wasn't - it took us two minutes to adjust at home. Along with other notes completely unrelated to the wof. It seems as though they were trying to find excuses to fail it, just for money and more work. Very, very unimpressed. ** edit In response to Cambridge Automotive's reply. We were aware of the tint as the vehicle had been bought second-hand. That is valid. However, a vehicle cannot be failed on mould that doesn't present a safety risk. It does pose a safety risk if it is near structural areas of the vehicle, but it wasn't. It was old stains, from old mould that came while the vehicle stood still for 2 months. Anf the headlight didn't have any internal damage. We went into the bonnet and adjusted it exactly the way you are meant to adjust it. It wasn't broken. The inspector said he tried to adjust it for me but it was "broken". Not too sure how it was broken if I could just do it myself with a wrench. Overall, customer service was good and kind to talk to. However, I dont appreciate someone trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

I have a 2006 Nissan Maxima. The original problem was that the car would cut out and not go into gear only reverse. I was told it was the solanoid and so the transmission had to be replaced. $3,264 it cost me. I have my car back now but found the engine cut out while going around a corner. So I put it in park and started it then into drive. It drove ok. I have found since I got it back that the aircon don't work properly and the heating and de mister is not working even tho it worked perfectly before they worked on my car. I have contacted them and they said they can look at the car but any work they do I will have to pay the labour and they have denied any interference with my heating or air con system that it is just a coincidence even tho they said they had to replace the air con with the new (reco) transmission. I'm not happy and cannot afford to get it checked or fork out more money. Not good :(
