   Overall a very poor experience. Poor expectation management and poor communication led to a very frustrating loan application that took nearly 8 weeks to complete. Ended up having to use my solicitor to get the deal across the line, at my cost, as Lime were proving to be incompetent. Received no cash back offer and no discount off the bank's advertised rates, was far better off going directly to the banks, which would be my suggestion for anyone reading this review. Lime added no value. If you do decide to use their services, just remember they don't work for you, they work on bank's commission, also make sure you read the fine print. At the end of all of this, they had the audacity to try and incentivise me into recommending their services to others, yeah that won't be happening! I'll leave this on a postive note, the health insurance broker, Donna, is brilliant!

   I cannot say enough about how wonderful Lisa at Lime Group was in helping my partner and I secure a loan for our new property. Lisa's communication was seamless. She helped keep us on track and motivated from start to finish. She cut through all the mortgage jargon and spoke to us in a language we could understand, which took the fear and unknown out of the whole process.    They help the banks not their clients. Was given the single worst piece of advice ever from Lime group, literally would have been better off by ourselves. I stressed we had the lowest interest rates in 20+ years and that we should just fix our entire mortgage at this rate. But the "trusted professional" convinced us it was "safer" to diversify our rates and fix a portion for less time....this is when I should of known they are working for the bank and not the best interest of their clients. Because the literal financial history of NZ said everyone should have fixed mortgages for as long as possible during these historically low interest rate periods...that's all they ever should have been telling clients...instead it was, split it, diversify... basically dribble. I would also hate if you got more kick backs for splitting loans, because if you do, then you are basing your advice off financial reimbursements, rather then what's best for you clients....that much was clear to us...either that or incompetents. Instead of listening to my gut, I trusted lime group...BIG MISTAKE. This piece of horrible horrible advice based off what?....not the mortgage rate history of NZ thats for sure...but rather helping the banks out even more...well thats exactly what they did, as it is now going to cost us first home buyers $30,000+ more instead of just trusting ourselves and not listening to Lime group. Literally did nothing but help the banks, NOT their client.... HORRIBLE. We will NEVER go back!
