   My father died at chch railway station. I've emailed the union, kiwi rail and no one is able to help me. Locate movements my father during his employment. It saddens me that my father dedicated his life to railways and no one can tell me how movements or got record of his death, killed on the job. Disgusting. If my father was able speak from his grave he be sadden and rest

   The Addington railway station inside was clean, and they had the A/C on, so it was a cool place to wait. The train staff is excellent. So professional and courteous. I have always wanted to take a train ride. I want to bring my family next time. Unique experience for an affordable price. Relax and enjoy the ride. Absolutely a beautiful place to park the car and get the train. I love getting on the train here whether I am heading North or West. It does not go East or South. Clean and well-maintained. The outside is gorgeous! Staff are polite and helpful.✅

   The check in for the baggage was quick and easy and the train was really good with the 4 seating everywhere so my family could sit together. The view was crazzyyy good and we saw so many animals like Dolphins,seals,llamas,black swans,sheep etc. I loved the mountain view of the sea and my kids had so fun counting all the seals on the way. I also liked that you could listen about the area around you. I loved the back wagon where it was open with a rail and you could see out better. Probably the best train experience I've had.

   I would like to make a special mention of an employee of the Christchurch railway station named Gary. We arrived last night on the Tranz Alpine and were waiting for our shuttle to arrive. Gary kept us company and offered to stay with us until it arrived but we told him to go home :) Thank you Gary - and thankfully the shuttle did arrive - late - but we still were able to get to our destination. We appreciated Gary's willingness to help and went out of his way to do so. Thanks once again!

   Scenic tour to Arthur’s Pass, two hours trip didn’t feel that long with amazing view through the big windows. The train also serves hot food on the catering car. Suggest to go check in earlier to avoid the tour crowds.
