One of my favorite produce shops around Christchurch. They have a good range of fruit and veggies at relatively affordable prices (better than suermarkets). They also sell ice cream (which is good when coming with kids) and meat products. Really a one stop shopping when in need of these lroducts at the same time. The place can get really crowded at times (especially on days approaching Christmas), but we always enjoy being in the crowd so no problem. I hope they stock more tropical fruits like mango and cocunuts (at more affordable price) in the future.
The quality is pretty bad here - like rotting produce is just normal to leave on shelves and in bins and I know they don't treat their staff very well. A shame because it's a popular place and is in a good location but I don't go here anymore.
Busy lots of people there. A wide selection of produce. Broccoli 1.40 a head. Down the road it was 0.99 a head. Cheaper than the supermarketa. Friendly folk there.
Been buying our veg here for over a year and have noticed recently that the quality is not as good. Today's strawberries was the worst so far. I bought 2 punnets. On the left is what is rotten, on the right is what I can give my family to eat. The kiwis were also mushy in the display boxes. Hopefully quality control picks up and we can enjoy supporting them again.
Vegieland is a fantastic option for budget-friendly fruit and vegetable shopping. While they may have apples with hail damage or less appealing aesthetics, the taste remains impressive. The real highlight is their unbeatable prices, allowing you to save significantly. Don't hesitate to embrace the slightly imperfect produce – give those "less looking" apples a chance and enjoy the great flavors while saving those valuable kiwidollars!

Great prices compared to other vendors around. Always busy, so everything is fresh. They work vary quickly so standing in line isn't so bad.
Terrible customer service ! This was the first veggie shop I tried when arriving to Chch eight years ago and I understood that they were popular because they had good deals, and a large variety of products, the monopoly with no much concurrence. Regardless the team was pretty friendly, some smiles, salutations and a chat at the till going on. Today when I look around I felt a different atmosphere, all the staff was different, when I asked the young lady at the till with a sweatshirt from St Andrew College (Bella) if the staff/owner changed she made me repeat many times pretending to dont understand what I was asking ; she was cold as a icing beer. Coming back to my car and checking the receipt I noticed that she overcharged me a product, so I went back, and woo, not only she did not apologise, she acted like a brat. I didn't know a person that is at work could be so sassy, her young colleague that came after was no better. It's was the last time I come to this shop. This people seem only care to make profit and train their young ones. Your seniority should never blow off your integrity.
