   Have been with these guys for years, I think overall the doctors are great and retention of their staff is fairly good. Reception staff are onto it and nurses are always kind. I sadly live rurally so have made the decision to move to a clinic in Selwyn to avoid the 50min drive here but would recommend.

   Ive been going to Barrington Medical center since my Family moved to CHCh in 1978, seen 2 "Dr Chamberlins" along with the Legend Keith Murrray retire. Sadly this place is not a scratch on what it used to be. Currently its taken me 5+ phone calls over 3 days to get a medical certificate that's correct. I think i can find a new GP by the time i get it. Recently increased their prices, for what? Less service?

   Been coming to barrington medical on and off since I was a kid and this medical practice is the best one I've been too. Many people with negative reviews need to realize that the health system is broken not this specific practice. Blame national, not these above solid doctors and staff.

   I’m beyond frustrated with the GP system in New Zealand. It’s nearly impossible to get an appointment when you actually need one, and when you do, the care feels rushed, unhelpful and useless. The lack of availability, high costs, and dismissive attitudes from some doctors make it clear that the system is broken. People shouldn’t have to fight this hard just to get basic healthcare.

   Multiple times have waited 30 minutes for my appointment. Terrible service, rude receptionist Re reply from the medical centre: I have multiple times to express my concerns and receptionist were very rude and told me not their problem so I went on to tell my doctor and that went no where. Receptionist were still rude and no one was able to note my concerns or the fact my appointments constantly take over 30 minutes for a doctor while I’ve been in emergency myself

   I have been coming to this medical center for years and never in my time have I experienced such hassle just to get an appointment the doctor is ither away or fully booked extremely hard to get a hold of yous. Waiting for my appointments are always late but if we are late we have re book its really slack how this place is running now. Im very disappointed as health should be a priority. I have results i need to discuss but no way to get an appointment so left very unhappy.

   I really like Dr LI Shaun unfortunately I can't get to see her unless I take time off work had a phone appt with doctor Kiddle who told me older people don't need much sleep and to get up and read a book great it's 3 am for the 3 Rd night in a row and I work full time so I will be finding another practice

   Reception ladies are always very helpful and polite. Positive experience every time. Dr Kiddle has been taken such a good care of me for years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Never have I felt rushed out even when the appointment takes only 5 minutes. Efficient and fast. Thanks team.

   My family and I have been enrolled here for a considerable time, and at first the service and care was acceptable, but I feel compelled to speak out after my last visit. lets start with the reception: - generally cold and dismissive, bordering on arrogant with no sense of urgency. - typically favour answering the phone while queues of people coming in and wanting to leave form. - never tell you how late your doctor is running. I have never had an appointment on time, usually 10-15 min late with my last visit being almost half an hour late. No warning from reception, and a perfunctory sorry about the wait from the doctor, sometimes. if you're lucky. The Doctors: Generally competent, but only seem interested in processing my appointment as quickly as possible. my last interaction with the Doctor lasted less than 4 minutes, for which I was charged the handsome sum of $52. Absolutely disgusted. Reply to Owner: of course there is no one registered by this name. I value my privacy. I have made many comments about the waiting times over the years and If that had no effect (and it didn't) I don't expect any now. I'm not interested in discussing anything, Instead I'll find an alternate provider who treats patients as human beings and not cash cows to be milked!
