They consistently manage to fit me in even at short notice. They are punctual, professional & approachable, which makes the process straightforward & stress-free. Kat in the office is also fantastic to deal with—friendly, efficient & very helpful. She too knows her stuff! A genuine 5star service.

I paid to have a solar panel added to my caravan roof, however, they assigned the job to their junior person who caused hundreds of dollars worth of damage to my caravan. He removed my caravan 3-way fridge, even though that is not the correct way to install a solar panel on the roof, and caused significant damage to the gas pipes as well as breaking off the door handle. I took it to a caravan specialist to attempt to repair the damage, and I've paid them $300 for the first set of repairs, but they need to keep the caravan in for several nights to do the next set of repairs on the fridge as it's still not freezing properly so I'll need to pay out a few hundred more for the second stage of the repairs. The worst thing is that Doig was so dishonest they tried to hide the damage and didn't tell me, so I wasn't aware until I'd parked up that night. He knew he'd damaged it because the metal was completely scrunched up behind the fridge, so it would have made an extremely loud scraping noise when he damaged it, plus he attempted to stuff glue down the fridge which is evidence he knew he'd damaged it. I'd paid a caravan repair shop to carry out a full inspection and maintenance of the fridge when I bought the caravan a few months earlier, so I have a certificate showing it is was in perfect working order two months before Doig Auto Electronics caused hundreds worth of damage to it. The dishonesty is what really bothers me, so I'll need to hire a lawyer and get the lawyer to send the repair bill to this dishonest company because they've been so nasty about it and the man on the phone spoke to me in a disgusting manner when I reported the damage. I'm so sickened by the dishonesty that I'll never trust a New Zealand tradesperson again. The lying and covering it up so I didn't know about it until later that evening was just so deceitful and nasty, plus the way he spoke to me on the phone shows what a rough place this is. I only moved back to NZ a few months ago and I'm just shocked at how dishonest NZ is compared to Australia where I'd never once experienced this disgusting behaviour. I tell everyone I know not to move to NZ now.
