Terrible communication with the Hamilton office staff. Lies, harassment and intimidation tactics when trying to request repairs, reschedule suitable times to be home when they want to meet or do inspections and trying to make complaints about disruptive neighbouring Kainga Ora tenants, etc. They don't care about breaching the Residential Tenancies Act any other legislation, such as Health and Disability.

The man I spoke with was exceptional and assisted with giving me my k.o client number. I had been given it before but didn't have it on hand and went through the process to verify I am a ko client and all they can do is pass messages onto Lana and her team to contact me to date nothing. Unfortunately my ko case manager Lana hasn't contacted me since our first interview from 2 months ago nor any updates. It is very unfortunate as I was led to believe the conversation we had is contradictory to what msd said. Example 1. Msd case manager said she had updated my ko profile prior to any ko intitial meeting and had sent it through to ko Ko case worker Lana at the meeting explained to me she had not received any of this information as it isn't msd who does ko profile it is ko that does this And there is nothing on ko system for these ko profiles from msd case manager. Ko case worker Lana asked me when was this done and what date was this done. I went into my emails and said last one that was done with date time and contents only just a couple of days before this meeting. Ko case worker said she would correspond with msd case manager regarding this but also she did receive an email from my msd case manager but wasn't for profile it was into some other matters relating to me but didn't elaborate what it was. 2. I have no way of contacting ko case worker directly and when I called I was intitially told I needed lanas surname however I don't recall her last name except that she works at main ko office in Hamilton city with date and time of interview/meeting/assessment and her first name given to me via msd case manager. I'm still not sure what the meeting was for And no follow up has been continued. I wasn't even sure of the ko case workers name but 6 weeks ago well and truly after the first meeting my msd case manager said her name is Lana and the kind man also confirmed ko housing case worker name is indeed Lana. I understand ko workers are busy with 10.000 complaints of ko tenants and so I just wait patiently but would assist if I could be given information prior to a meeting via either sms or email so that I am better prepared and not going in like what?? As I don't know what expectations are of me, what to bring along. To this day that meeting is still hazy in the sense we got onto the subject of my Son being abused within the mental health institution via third parties family and associates so mostly the meeting concentrated on that which was traumatizing. It was instigated not by Lana and not by me but by a third party in attendance of the meeting that lied to Lana to cause a distress reaction. So we were unable to forward on with the meeting in how it should've progressed as this was extremely upsetting to be gaslit via third party. This was not on Lana as I had bought along someone whom actually misrepresented me in the most evil way was suppose to be a support person but downright lied to ko case worker. So no I don't know how the meeting went as I had become very sad and distressed. I would like Lana to contact me so I know where too from here? My msd case manager keeps saying she's in constant contact with my ko case manager but refuses to elaborate and my ko case manager did mention in the meeting I recall clearly "When msd has referred onto ko, then the contact is between me and ko as msd only does referrals. However as rescent sms and emails from msd case manager still contradicts this including phone calls as rescent as 7 days ago. This has been going on for a long time I do not give msd case worker Kalesita latu to advocate on my behalf let alone making contact with ko case worker on my behalf without my acknowledgement or knowing the contents. To date she still refuses to be transparent into this matter .msd case worker It is unfair unjust and ill behaviour to treat someone with such indignity. Besides this I am hoping for a suburb area that is either close to city and easier public transport. The area I live in provides this and would like to remain in this area.
