I have been a tenant with McGuire Property management for a number of years. My property manager Karryn is wonderful, always professional, supportive and great communication. Definitely a great team down at McGuire Property management.
This company is very irresponsible to tenants. They only collect rent and never deal with any housing problems. When we checked out, we cleaned the room as required, but they confirmed it but did not return the deposit in time. The efficiency is very slow. If you are a tenant, I recommend you not to choose this company. I would like to rate zero stars.

She went above and beyond in managing a situation with a considerable language barrier and an unconventional lease arrangement, all of which were thrust upon her with very short notice. Her professionalism, patience, and dedication truly stood out, and Iβm incredibly grateful for all of her hard work in ensuring everything was handled smoothly. As I look to expand my property portfolio in the Hamilton area, thereβs only one company Iβll trust to manage them going forward, McGuires.
The person I dealt with through this company acted as though doing their job was an inconvenience. They always seemed lovely in person and incredibly negative and rude over the phone and email conversations. Took months for anything to ever be sorted when issues were raised. Would not recommend this company for managing your property.

Property managers (2 ladies) are so unprofessional. Turned up to our place without any notice. Always had a weird attitude whenever they came over for an inspection. Rude and unprofessional. Would never rent through this company again.
Enquired twice about a potential flat, not a word in reply. They obviously don't respect tenants, and therefore likely not owners, either. I'll be avoiding any listing with these guys as managers, based on other reviews here...and on their unresponsive inattention to prospective customers.
We found a place through John who is one of the mangers in McGuire Property Management Ltd. Our first impression about this person was nice, helpful and friendly. So we thought it would be another delightful renting experience. Yet, our nightmare started after we moved in third month. Like their previous tenants, we also experienced lack of privacy, been treated like they are doing a favor by giving out a place to live, and over charged in the end of tenancy etc issues. First issue was they in and out our place multiple times a week with and without notices. When we told them the behavior bothering us and A lady from their company told us βthey do not need our permissionβ to get into our place as long as they send us either 24 or 48 hours notices. Then, they gave our door key to outside company to get into our place when we were away for work. Third issue, they forgot to lock our door when they left our place. The place where we lived wasnβt a safe area where happened gun shot and houses got broken in etc. Yet, our safety and privacy have never been McGuire Property Management Ltdβs concerns. Due to enough of lack of privacy and disrespectful responses. We decided to move out the place managed by this company after only six months of living to end our nightmare. Like the rest of other tenants we also canβt escape from ripped off by this company. They charged us $110 in the end of our tenancy for a little drop of coffee while we found it actually only $30 to clean up the little spot or maybe because I am a researcher, it is not difficult for me to find a reasonable company to clean it. Many people suggested us go to tenancy tribunal, yet it is really not worth us to spend time and energy for the little money and arguing something that already happened. We have never given any company a bad review since we love to support NZ local businesses. Yet, this company is really a disappointing. So we though it might be better just to write a review to let people know what to expect if they decided to use McGuire Property Management Ltdβs service.
I have recently viewed a home with McGuire Property Management and found their service very professional. The lady I spoke to was very transparent about the home I viewed. Their service was great, hoping we are selected as the new tenants of this property. Two thumbs up !
