I had HIFU for the first time, yesterday. At no point - during the consultation, a few weeks ago, or yesterday before the treatment - was I made aware by the estheticians that the procedure is CONTRAINDICATED to people with dental implants. I have one, and it Is in the very area I was getting the procedure applied to. I was in severe pain during the treatment and even hours after. Moreover, upon researching now - nothing on the Skin Artistry website about this, by the way - I find that the metal affects the effectiveness of the procedure, and also that the procedure can damage the implant. To top it all off, I was told AFTER the procedure that I am meant to use Vit B serum on my face post treatment. So, not only did I suffer, but I also wasted my money and time, and had to fork out more money for the Vitamin B serum. Clients should be FULLY INFORMED by the staff of these crucial aspects prior to having treatment. In all my previous experience with beauticians/estheticians, I had clear and full information provided, and even had to sign a form stating that I was made aware of the information supplied and was happy to proceed. None of this at Skin Artistry. I am still in disbelief this happened in NZ. How are these people allowed to operate?

The ladies at Skin Artistry are awesome! Facilities are very comfortable, and I've had a lot of success with the dermaviduals line they carry. I wasn't able to continue with their full treatment plan for my acne because I was only visiting NZ for a few months, but in the time that I had, they helped me get rid of my hormonal acne breakouts and my scarring had gone down a lot. They were really awesome about working around my touring schedule, and Shaheen had lots of great advice for how nutrition and weather was affecting my skin and what I could do about it. I'm only hoping I can find such effective skin care in the states!
