one of the hot pools of all time. There is around 8 ish pools of varying temperature, such as very hot, not as very hot, hot and still hot. The lake is also there, which is cool. Has that distinct smell of sulphur in the air, which is.. cool i guess. Yup not bad. They sell alcohol aswell.

-A wonderful experience. - Beautiful scenery - about 5-6 dif hot pools, all different temps - changing facilities could do with an upgrade & they're not very big - food sold onsite - only accessible by boat I believe? No road access. - Toilets are up the top so be aware if you need assistance - Would def visit again

Everyone said this was their favourite from our time in the Bay of Plenty. We had friends take us across in their boat, but apparently, there's a water taxi. Simple refreshments were available but I took snacks for the kids. The slide and jumping in the lake was fab. Beautiful setting. Combine with the Okere falls and lunch at the nearby cafe. Fab spots.

Stop here was included as part of the Waimarino Group "Scenic Lake Rotoiti Kayak Tour". Would highly recommend that or just kayaking out here yourself. Super nice place to relax after a few hours on the water. The resident cat is also a highlight if you see them :)

Great place to enjoy the thermal baths in different temperatures. Nice primitive and cold shower but thatβs all part of the experience! Do take the hike to the viewing point: itβs worth the effort.

This is a great place! Plenty of pools of different temperatures, beautiful setting and location and not outrageous pricing. Totally recommended.

Beautiful spot with lake views and nice terraced pools, though 8 out of 9 of them were too hot to get in on this particular day (I know natural springs change over time), and I hear it was super crowded on weekends, so I was well pleased we went on a Monday so there were only 3 boats of people and we all fitted in the one pool that was a good temperature. I really enjoyed my visit, and enjoyed the picnic areas, especially the one moored over the water. Great info boards too. A nice day out

You can reach this very special place only by boat or kayak. But it is well worth it. The hot water is flowing through several pools from the source to the lake and you can choose which temperature you like best. The whole place is well maintained and has a very relaxed atmosphere. We liked our short stay here during a kayak trip and would come back anytime!

Only accessible by boat or if you're able you can charter a Catamaran and sail the 20 min and really enjoy a great day out it is worth the effort. The pools vary in temperature from comfortable to 45 deg or could be even hotter. Tip, you will smell like sulfur and so will your clothes, I took a swim in the lake in December to rinse off and it was 15 degs but I could still smell the odour. I will be doing this again. I loved it.
