   I wanted to watch the sunrise with a coffee in my hand. I was galloping towards the first place that was open. My Starbucks girlfriend was still sleeping. This was a solo expedition and honestly, I was looking forward to a straight up long black. The sky clouded over and the rain started. It is what it is, no golden beams for me this morning. The first place I found was Raglan Roast. Raglan Roast is cheap coffee, no frills. It is service without pleasantries. There are no pretenses that this is anything more than a transaction. I found this confronting when I first experienced it, no hello or good morning, no nothing. It’s like a human vending machine. But vending machines are a revolution in efficient hospitality. That is, if you know to expect them. The entire chain of Raglan Roasts are like this. The baristas are not grumpy or rude, they’re just indifferent. I’ve come to realize that this is a beautiful thing. Honestly, who wants small talk in the morning? The coffee is pretty decent too. 5 Stars.

   Visited Raglan Roast 30/12/22 Very nice wee spot tucked away off the street. I had the Roti Canai and it was real good. You order your food inside and the food gets prepared in the caravan outside. Loved the dishes the meals were served on, very retro. Surprisingly not a long wait considering its peak time. Would definately go back again. Thanks RR

   Excellent coffee. Not much under-cover seating if the weather is poor, but soaked up some sun with an amazing latte just outside their shop front with 0 complaints.

   The best coffee in Raglan. It's in narrow alley way. Open until 5 PM everyday. Do not pass this when you are in Raglan. No sit in, takeaway only. Highly recommended, love it
