   Unfortunately I believe it has lot of open wasted space which has had the effect of giving the centre a much smaller library than the locals deserve . Even the two meeting rooms that are close to the front entrance are small and certainly not private . The ANZAC memorial area which is inside is a HUGE open space, for all the right reasons I might add but is totally underuitilised. Other than being used for ANZAC day it really does not blend to wards it easiely being used for other options of use . However there is a LARGE privatespace / room towards the back which can be used for a larger gathering . My observations that It was even too big I felt when used for a polling booth on election day . To sum up the Matamata Civic and Merorial Centre is a clash of under and oversized areas which is a shame I feel which to me could or even possibly does limit community involvement.

   Drove paste this a few times but finally took the time to stop and explore. Love that the old Monument is still out the front. It looks amazing with all the sleek new lines of the architecture and the state of the art buildings
