Great little theatre to have for a town like Lyttleton. Isn't huge but works well for small productions. Good community asset.

Nice venue. Great that we can come over from Diamond Harbour and enjoy some live performances. Loved seeing Joe Bennett talk about King Lear.

We were 3 friends who don't meet up as often as we would like to. I knew the Twisty Twins from many years ago so I was very keen to see them perform again. I bought the tickets very easily on-line knowing that it would be a good show. The venue had the bar open when we arrived so we could spend time in the shade as it was a 30°+ evening. It was great to get water easily from the cooler dispenser, & cold drinks of our choice from the bar. There was plenty of room outside for people to wait until the theatre opened, & we were grateful for the air conditioning as we filed in with an usher showing where to go. Well- the Berlin Burlesque show was totally fantastic! Every talented performer was at the top of their skills & they all seemed to collaborate with each effortlessly. The music was superb -the leader sang & played a great variety of instruments, & astonished us with her wonderful talent. We were awed, amazed, astonished by the awesome talent of all the performers. It was excellent EXCELLENT entertainment. We totally enjoyed the cosy size of the venue as it put the audience right in the action & we felt a part of the production & included by all the performers. I thoroughly enjoyed myself & have never laughed so much as I did at the finale. My friends were very grateful that I had invited them as they felt the same way. I'd go back to this venue no matter what the show was, as I feel confident they would take very good care of their audiences.

My friend and I visited LAF this evening and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The actors were superb and the seating comfortable. Wine was available if wanted. Well worth the trip over from Sumner. We will be attending again soon.

I've never had a bad experience @ LAF. It's a real gift to be able to see large cast shows with very high standards and terrific production values without paying the earth. The space is adaptable and inviting with a small bar and a great outdoor area for waiting patrons on a warm summer evening (plus the auditorium is air conditioned). There's an edge to the shows too that offers something different from the slick and polished "Pro" shows in the city. Well worth the extra time it takes to enjoy some Port/crater vibes.

The theatre is small but intimate. The seating is not the best as right and some rows plastic seats. The toilets could have been cleaner. Nice small bar and friendly staff. Toasted sandwiches and sundaes available. The butler was very good. A small thing was that the music was too loud for the venue.
