I wanted to acknowledge the incredible team at Smith and Boyle Tauranga. Our M3 Performance was badly damaged in a crash and we didn’t realise the extent of repairs needed. (Not even a year old) From the moment I called VERO (who were also incredible to deal with) to making the call to start the process was seemless. I kid you not there was no mucking around, we drove from Waihau Bay on the east coast to Tauranga risking it all as we found out the steering wheel bar was in two pieces, don’t ask me how we managed to drive it three hours down the road. They sorted it out and was honest with us that it will take upto six weeks, lucky the parts were in stock in Auckland. - Communication on point! Dan was great emailed us and called to keep us in the loop. - Mike - Director, is true to his word when he talks about people before cars and repairs with care. - They knew their shit, Mike has a TESLA model Y as well so in the Tesla club. - They were recommended to me by VERO but also TESLA as well so didn’t mind driving past Whakatāne for higher quality service. - They have a good relationship with VERO so didn’t need to do anything. - After everything was repaired they chucked it on the tow truck and sent it off to TESLA to check the screen, wheel alignment and test drive. - Got the car back exactly when they said and it was brand new again. - Around 30k worth of repairs in the end all covered by insurance with a very worth it excess fee of $750. - Mike called hubby yesterday to check up on how things are going, now that’s service!

Great experience. Nothing was a problem. 3 months old new car, hit by accident in left back corner. Photos don't show inside brackets broken, etc.

Had some last minutes doubt on whether they were going to finish the car before 5 pm but got there in the end... Great job done, lovely, friendly receptionist and damage assessor.

BAD. This place is recommended AA insurance to get repairs done after an accident. Their availability of getting parts and then replacing them on your car is .... at SNAIL-PACE, it takes several months. This happened twice now to us. They identify items as needing replacement which according VTNZ does not. We literally got a WOF a week after the accident, the little scratch didn't matter to VTNZ. It feels like they RIPP OFF Insurances and let you wait forever to get your car repaired. When you miss the appointment 4 months scheduled ahead, you get a new one .... another 4 months waiting. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL - LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE

The work itself was great. There is some overspray left on the black plastics where they had painted which I know having worked in a panel shop is difficult to remove. Was guttered to hear from the gentleman who came out to fix some overspray on the window, that in his words “the guys wouldn’t have put much effort into it” because of the model of my car. His attitude was condescending and dismissive, and I am concerned if the workmanship/attitude is based solely on the model of car they are working on. It’s disappointing he feels it’s acceptable to talk to customers in that manner about the “value” of their cars. What is the point in taking on job if they don’t feel it’s worth their time?

Masking tape not removed, some random bolts left on the floor of the car, a super sticky piece of tape left on the rear window that left some hard to remove residue and finally not even a reply to the email enquiring what was this mess about.

Have done a fabulous job on my car. It was just a smaller job on the bumper but it looks immaculate and they cleaned the entire exterior and even polished the tyres. Could not recommended enough and were super friendly. Will be back if I ever need any more work done.
