Great place. Battery and fitment cost $65 less than than best comparable offering by competitors - for a battery from a trusted brand with 36 month warranty, that has 30 more cold cranking amps, RC higher by 9 units, and AH higher by 5. (I did the research before I went, didn't want to believe it before I saw it) It really was an easy experience. Vaughn (Vaughan) was a great guy to work with, no funny business, straight to the point and showed me the dead cell on my battery. Was in and out in 15 minutes.
We had an emergency as our battery died on Sunday under a supermarket. Mr Vaughan came to help us as soon as he could bringing a spare battery. He replaced the battery on the spot, charging us only for the battery cost, which was very affordable. Wonderful service, honest and friendly man. Thank you!
Around Christmas last year I purchased a battery from VP (I think I was helped by Vaughan, forgive my memory). Not only was the price of a new battery less than half that quoted by other vendors, he basically installed the battery for me and was honest and great to deal with. If you're looking for the best place to buy batteries in Christchurch, you've found it. Vaughan was helpful, friendly, good value, and above all, extremely knowledgable. We had already tried a well-known more expensive battery place that told us our battery was OK, didn't know about the auxiliary battery, and couldn't explain why stop-start wasn't working. Vaughan explained that even a small loss in charge makes a big difference. He tested them twice, showing the batteries were weak. He fitted two new batteries and hey presto, stop-start worked straightaway. Very good value, too, far less than the other place wanted to charge. Vaughan's mobile service was also very prompt. Highly recommended!
