Very poor! Waiting hours is forever! Until the patient die of waiting. Only few patient today but no nurses attending the patients’ needs. Doctors don’t have empathy. Reception ladies are grumpy and very slow

Doctors are nice. Triage nurse was quite raciest and ruthless. From my observation in over 12 hours wait while pregnant and suffering from severe pain - Asian and pacific island patients are getting ignored. Some white male dudes got seen immediately.

Doing a difficult but necessary job, the team here is world class. Waiting times vary but you will be seen. Toilets are available. Also a cup of tea or coffee are to be had here. Located at the top of the Pembroke Street hill there are limited parks. There is access for wheelchairs into the building. Also disability parking spaces are available too.

I cannot thank the team at Waikato ED enough. I arrived having a serious asthma attack and the staff were amazing. They were so caring and professional. I could see that it was very busy around me with so many other patients but they still made me feel like I was important and being focussed on which made me feel safe and calm. You are marvels!!

Absolutely tragic! Wait times of 8+ hours on a Thursday and STILL waiting but being told not to leave. A Nurse named Siby was very rude to an elderly lady who had been waiting just as long as us when she advised she found it hard to breathe. Everyone else waiting was shocked. She ended up leaving 4 hours later after still not being seen. I hope she's still alive and well with no thanks to our "amazing" nurses. When we enquired about the wait times after waiting 7 hours she said "we are seeing to REAL emergencies" even though another, nicer nurse advised my partner to wait due to his blood and urine results. What an absolute joke of a place. We found that the group of strangers we started waiting with from 11pm were far more helpful in taking care of one other during our long waits than any health professionals.

Not sure how doctors from Malaysia can get a job in the hospital? Malaysians are not great in this fields. Chinese people are the reason behind Malaysia’s advance in economy. Malaysian doctors don’t even know how to behave with a patient. This is so sad. Bad behaviour from a doctor is not expected. Even doctor is asking patients what treatments they want!!! This is strange! Doctor should know what type of treatment is required for patients. And also noticed that Malaysian doctor’s behaviour is so bad towards African people. So so sad!

Wonderful Service and great Staff! Thank you. Last week my husband was in A & E. The staff were friendly and explained "in our language" what they were doing and why and patiently answered our questions. We came away knowing how fortunate we are to have this excellent service, fee of charge in our city.
