Ryan came highly recommended and we totally agree! We communicated by text and everything was very smooth to make an initial booking for our daughter. Then DriverEds induction ensured Ryan could send follow up notes to her after lessons. As a parent, it was very useful to, ride along and learn at the same time in her lesson, to understand better what to practice. On restricted test day, despite changing test areas from Tauranga to the Mount, she still passed first time. Thanks for building, her confidence (aswell as ours) at this key time in her independance, your a star!
We found Ryan after several classes with a different local instructor. He was able to teach my daughter fundamental aspects of driving safely which she struggled with when she started out on the road. This was crucial to her finally passing her restricted test, I believe it was Ryan’s ability to explain the concepts clearly in a way which can be visualized and then applied easily. Not anyone can be a good teacher and I can confidently say that Ryan is an excellent driving instructor. He is calm, approachable and professional in his approach. I recommend Ryan even if you need to travel out of town for his lessons.
Only had one last minute lesson with Ryan when preparing for my restricted test, but I thoroughly enjoyed the time we had and found it very helpful! I felt very comfortable and happy when doing the lesson with him, and the information he gave me regarding the test was definitely useful.
Ryan was an outstanding driving instructor for my son. He was supportive, encouraging, and always gave clear, gentle instructions that built confidence with every lesson. Ryan took care of organising all the lessons, was always prompt, and was flexible whenever our situation changed, offering alternatives that worked for us. He also managed the whole restricted licence process, and my son was even able to use his car for the test, which made everything much less stressful. I would definitely recommend Ryan’s DriverEd, especially for teenagers who might need a little extra support to feel comfortable and succeed on the road.
We couldn't have asked for a more encouraging, supportive and knowledgeable driving coach for our daughter. Ryan was always positive and his calmness was always appreciated. It really helped our daughter to develop the confidence in herself. We would highly recommend Ryan. Our daughter is now keen to do her defensive driving course with Ryan.

Ryan was fantastic with giving me clear, concise driving instruction, and confidence, when teaching me to tow, and back, my caravan successfully. Ryan was especially encouraging with guiding me how to back into a tricky parking space, and I felt I learnt so much in our session. I highly recommend Ryan. :-)
I couldn’t recommend Ryan enough if you’re looking for an excellent driving instructor. Not only does he know his stuff but he also knows how to impart that to his students in an incredibly encouraging and supportive manner. My daughter just passed her restricted licence today after several previous attempts and it’s without doubt that much of the credit has to go to Ryan’s coaching. Keep up the good work Ryan!
Taking these lessons was really worthwhile, Ryan was able to teach me lots of new things in just the span of an hour, and by the end of it I would be feeling a lot more confident in my abilities as a driver. Only had two lessons with him before my restricted test, and I went from not knowing how to parallel park or do my proper mirror checks, to passing my test first try with no critical errors! Would definitely recommend :))
